Admittedly, after testing the fragrances from Blood Concept, you have certain ideas or fantasies about what you associate with these scents. The eye, as they say, also eats, and we are often guided by names. It does something to us when we read "Blood," for example, or something less extravagant like "Holy," etc. Certain things simply create a scenario. Or rather, a picture. Often just unconsciously. You surely know what I mean.
I know several Blood Concept fragrances. Admittedly, they are all very special, often having this peculiar metallic note - chlorine, damp air, which often plays a role. Occasionally a bit of green, but it leans more towards the metal (chemical) faction, disinfection, and unfortunately also not very pleasant associations, like blood-soaked rags (see
AB).
No fragrance from BC has been able to touch or excite me. However, it is interesting to engage with them, as everyday scents are really something different. I have always felt a dislike towards these, as they simply do not present good images to me, and they often just smell chemically, which I really do not like to wear on my skin. Not to mention the thought games that come with it.
Recently, I watched the film "The Golden Glove." I also devoured the book. I tend to very strongly visualize everything in my head when I see or read certain scenes, and I feel as if I am a live observer. I weave my own world together, including smells of all kinds. Since I come from the care and social sector and have smelled quite a bit already, and I am really only disgusted by a few things, there are indeed some hybrids of smells that come together. Some are really not quite kosher, and some almost knock me off my feet.
Blood Group A from Blood Concept is no different from its other blood group siblings. It is again very metallic, everything is built up. The scent feels very damp and extremely moldy. Along with a stuffy note of sharp greenery in a barely ventilated room, which desperately tries to mix in here. It is a jumble of half-ripe fruits and cold sweat that then settles in. The scent would fit perfectly into the scene of the film "The Golden Glove," where countless air fresheners hang to mask the probably bestial smell that has permeated the small attic apartment. I hit pause and rummaged through my sample box. Blood Concept immediately shot to my mind, especially this weird herbal note that this scent carries, with a slight sweetness that almost evaporates into nothingness, would fit right in. Perfect nightmare scenario for all olfactory cells, you must be thinking? Yes, it is indeed strange, but not extremely so. It is, for me, an air freshener scent whose name I do not know, or I can't recall the exact designation, but it is so piercing, chemical, mixed with disinfectant, that it becomes really unpleasant, especially because there is a slightly sour, sweaty note hanging over it.
The scent maintains some sort of stuffiness, a false sense of a perfect world, stretched in the background with high-proof alcohol and the depths of the human soul. It is not bestial, nor is it extremely overwhelming. It is simply unpleasant, masks a lot, and is a bit annoying with its peculiarity, especially regarding the greenery.
The longevity is quite okay, but you are still glad when you can indulge in other scents.
