There Is Something Smoky In The Air
According to the tweet from Oddity Group, who oversaw the campaign for the brand launch, DM introduced the Seinz line to the market in March 2019, and consequently, I also assume the three perfumes. When writing these lines, Intense is part of a series of three fragrances from the SEINZ line, which has very much intensity and releases gourmand accords with spicy and mossy overtones. In the series, we find a Classic Eau de Toilette perfume, somewhat greenish with aromatic and musky touches, and a Sport Eau de Toilette scent, which has very little sportiness and releases soapy accords with leafy and earthy overtones. All three fragrances are enclosed in a minimal box that opens by sliding the inner tube, and on one side shows the olfactory pyramid with two important notes for each phase. The bottles are essential, simple, in opaque glass, and Intense is dark aquamarine when the ray of light passes through.

Of the three fragrances, Intense is the one that hit the mark, and I liked it right away. It is amber and intense and releases gourmand accords with leathery, musky, and smoky nuances. Not too intrusive, but intimate and seductive. Intense begins the journey with a cascade of citrus notes. Although no citrus note is mentioned, my nose smells of semi-acid tones of lemon, a sweet hint of orange, and the indispensable touch of blunt bergamot. This acid sensation lasts a few minutes, after which the sweet, spicy nuances of creamy cinnamon emerge, enveloping the leathery aspects of the saffron flower. The latter balances the otherwise too sweet aspect of the cinnamon bark. Gradually the scent stabilizes, the acid part subdues, while the spicy part warms up full of sweetness and creaminess, uncannily gourmand.

The journey continues, and we find floral, fruity, and greenish accords in the heart. The geranium leaf's rosy and greenish notes mix with the orange blossoms' sweetish hints, creating an intense harmony like the perfume's name. This round of sweet and warm spicy notes is nothing new. For example, we can feel it in several contemporary autumn scents in the various flankers of Stronger With You by Giorgio Armani. But that doesn't make Intense any less enjoyable, either. The spicy opening accord continues in the heart and dramatically supports the powdery flowers and foliage.

And after a few hours, we reached the end of the journey. A creamy, musky veil of woods and moss covers my skin. The sour chord has disappeared completely, while the floral aspect has faded into the background. Now, the soft and exotic sandalwood and a clean musk make sense of what remains on the skin for many hours to come. Every now and then, I also get a smokiness, which I enjoy.

In my opinion, Intense is an elegant fragrance that is worth feeling and owning. It performs well and never has mushy or misplaced peaks. It may not be unique, but it is well structured, lasts several hours even if the projection tapers off quickly, and leaves a warm and comfortable halo. An all-around fragrance, it can wear in autumn, winter, and early spring. It is better to use it for the evening, an appointment, a dinner, an event, in your free time, even during the day, but I would avoid it for work.

I base the review on a 60ml bottle I have owned since September 2022.

Extremely Smart
At first, one can perceive an intense and strong sweet-spicy note that exudes a beautiful deep, slightly thick gourmand, delicately caramel tone, and I think of "cinnamon sauce," specifically the one from Müller rice pudding.

At the same time, a very subtle aromatic, slightly spicy masculine nuance is responsible for preventing the fragrance from drifting into overt sweetness, instead radiating a fine shimmering timbre, and here the statement about this fragrance phenomenon applies: "Hate it, or love it," which comes from saffron.

A little later, the components of the top note unite with a pleasant, powdery light, intensely orange note of orange blossom, but I considered the use of blood orange to be possible, which is enveloped by an intense, sweet creamy note of geranium, giving the fragrance an extremely smart aura.

"So, then I noticed something! -

The bottle is 'black and when you hold the bottle a bit near the light, it turns transparent turquoise, reminiscent of Davidoff Cool Water - And all of this in matte! -

So I find that really nice, I must say! And this way, you can always easily see how much you can still smarten." :-)

In the last 3 hours, a bright, masculine creamy note; sprinkled with the finest woods, provides a wonderful smooth masculine finish that is carried by a lovely gentle tone, and I thought I perceived sandalwood and musk, instead of moss.

Overall, the fragrance lasts 8 hours on my skin.

The sillage is designed from the beginning to be a well-perceptible whole arm's length for 3 hours, before it gradually reduces to a quiet conclusion.

Uomo Signature in a budget-friendly and fresh version.
When I tested various fragrances at the local drugstore, most of them were rather generic, synthetic, or downright terrible.

Arriving at Seinz, on the far right shelf and a bit lower down, I grabbed the different testers and sniffed the bottles. Tabac Original was at that moment the best among all the available scents. I expected nothing. After a brief sniff, neither the Classic nor the Sport scent from Seinz impressed me. I picked up the black tester of the Intense and glanced at the notes: Citrus, flowers, wood, and moss. The other two Seinz fragrances had similar notes on the packaging, so I didn't expect much. The tester went towards my nose, I took a deep breath from a safe distance, and immediately recognized the scent - Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo Signature.

So this was SEINZ. Intense.
A spray on the back of my hand for a more thorough test. The top notes were almost identical to Uomo Signature, a slightly sweet, synthetic coffee shower gel scent. The shower gel was more in the background. 60 mL for €9.95 was simply too good to pass up; I had to wear this scent properly for a judgment.
The next opportunity, I sprayed myself with the Intense. The similarity to Uomo Signature remained on the skin as well. Over time, the Intense developed a bit fresher, likely due to the orange blossom and geranium mentioned on the packaging, even though you really can't pick out those two notes at all. Generally, the notes listed on the packaging are hardly present; at best, you can imagine a cinnamon-like smell. There’s no trace of sandalwood and moss. However, the longevity is surprisingly good for the price and concentration. I continue to compare it with Uomo Signature, which cost me around €44/100mL as an EdP back then and really lasts forever on my skin.

Overall, it's a bit fresher than the comparison scent, with slightly worse longevity and sillage, both of which are still quite good and above average. For a drugstore fragrance, that's almost enormous. The bottle feels extremely high-quality. The packaging can be slid out from the side and beats most boring competitors that simply open from the top with a tab. Only the somewhat cheap-looking plastic cap tarnishes the impression. For the test, I applied quite a bit (~8 sprays on various spots on my neck), but I do that happily with other fragrances as well. With this one, it simply doesn't hurt price-wise.

I recommend everyone to grab the tester during their next visit to dm and spray it on the back of their hand or wrist. More POOOWWWWEEEEERRRR and a slightly darker nuance can be found in Uomo Signature. However, this scent is likely to satisfy many people for everyday wear. A sweet freshness with a coffee note that makes the rest of the drugstore shelf look old.

I went home with SEINZ. Intense. I also took Tabac Original EdT with me. After all, there were 20 times Payback points.

A Nice Gift
It was supposed to be a small, not too expensive gift. The person is male, over 70, and has absolutely no interest in perfume. An expensive niche fragrance would be a waste, as he prefers very simple things.

So the two of us stood at dm and thought, why not a small perfume? The recipient would probably wear anything if you say it smells good :D

We first went through the usual options, and then I saw SEINZ. I was already familiar with the deodorant roller and found it quite pleasant in scent. So we tested our way through... and it ended up being SEINZ Intense. I can't compare it to any other scent, as I'm not familiar with masculine fragrances, but I find the scent to be one that works pretty much all the time. I don't find the intensity to be very strong, and the longevity is, well, not particularly above average but okay. Overall, for just under €10, it's a scent that is acceptable; at least I found it significantly better than Bruno Banani or whatever they're all called that are in a similar segment. It’s sporty, a bit masculine, but also at the same time sporty and nice :)

The recipient actually wears it every day now. It’s not my dream scent for a men’s perfume, as it lacks quite a bit for me, but the gift has found its use, and it was worth it.

On a Saturday morning in a...
... drugstore, and since I have time, I check out the offers. And then I see this one here. I tried it out. And I was surprised at what this little one has to offer for this price.

Upon applying this fragrance, the first thing that hits the nose is a hint of cinnamon with saffron that is lightly sweetened. Quite quickly, the floral notes make themselves known, giving this scent a slightly feminine touch, but it is soon overshadowed by something green, mossy, and woody, making it slightly masculine.

The longevity and sillage are average.

Here we have a drugstore scent that can be worn by anyone of any age, and the ladies can also give this a try. The fragrance is good for the cooler and cold days. Personally, I only see this scent for daytime use at school, university, in the office, or while shopping. For the evening, it’s just too simple for me.

If you like a simple spicy floral green mossy woody scent for very little money, you are exactly right here.

Lightly spicy gourmand vibes without being too sticky. A delicate coffee note rounds off this "easy to like" scent.

Beautifully spicy and distinctive, this SEINZ surprises. There's really something to it. Considering the price-performance ratio, it's a knockout.

The shower gel with apple, bergamot, and sandalwood is great, I use it regularly. Unfortunately, the scent is too sweet and has that SWY DNA again, what a pity.

Lightly sweet-woody-cinnamon-floral-powdery-masculine winter scent. S/H with decent performance. Insanely good for the price!
