Cherry Explosion

I saw it in the perfumery, in a corner of the discounted fragrances on sale. Without high expectations, I sprayed it on the tester strip.
At first, confusion-do I like the scent or not? I thought something would bother me.

Letting it settle, and lo and behold, I started to warm up to it more and more.
What I thought would annoy me actually made the fragrance truly interesting, and I became curious.
I sprayed it on my skin, and then it was all over for me.
On my skin, the scent suited me even better!

It is not a classic cherry scent; often you find marzipan or an almost sticky sweetness. Here, that is absent, and that is exactly what makes it so great.
The fragrance is very rounded and beautifully designed.
One of my absolute favorites!

Cherry scent made just for me

By chance, my gaze fell upon the advertisement for this fragrance when I recently made my annual "summer trip" to the only niche perfumery in my hometown. I had not heard anything about the brand or the scent before. The advertisement featured juicy, dark cherries as an eye-catcher. Of course, I had to test the fragrance immediately, as I am always curious about scents with cherry notes.
Ceresia starts green, citrusy, and slightly bitter. Quite quickly, a deep, floral note joins in, along with a beautiful, dark cherry. After about 20 minutes, this dark, slightly smoky, floral-tinged cherry note dominates the scent. It has something of cherry liqueur. And so the fragrance remains for now. So far, no cherry scent has truly impressed me, and I had almost given up hope of finding one that would blow me away. Until now. I have finally found my cherry scent. And it was purely by chance.
After about an hour, the base notes join in, of which I can most clearly perceive the sandalwood. The dominant dark cherry note diminishes somewhat after about 2 hours, and the rosy tones come more to the forefront. Now I can also perceive the subtly used vanilla.
In my opinion, Ceresia is an interesting and exciting fragrance composition, in which a dark, very sensual cherry accord takes the lead. No note bothers me here; nothing feels disharmonious, annoying, or jarring. Just a fantastic piece. Made just for me.
