Leathery Violet Chypre - vintagesque
It’s almost impossible to believe this was made so recently. It smells like one of those rare life changing chypres of almost a century ago. Rich, leathery, basalmic, sweet, woodsy, warm, sensual with just the right amount of floral to balance all that grandeur and still remain in its heart unisex. This has a pop of candied violet pastille that us violet lovers crave. This is the Grand Dame violet and leather Chypre. The only reason I can believe it’s new is Teone’s work is the work of which all other perfume nowadays is measured. Yes she is the Maestra. Only she could create this, quietly, humbly, with only the ones that know knowing.
The sillage is perfect. The longevity is 2 days, no joke. Because as with all her work, the concentration is extrait level so it’s no surprise. The newer Violet Firefly 21 is also a gem and just a bit more resinous and leathery imo.
