Moss Violet Not Shy at All...
Not a strict governess, but also not a delicate flower you shouldn't touch! Something in between. And all in a beautiful red-violet. A fine Milton Lloyd.
British-inspired, yet neither resembling the (God rest her soul) Queen, nor a "Margaret Thatcher". And certainly not a "Tony Blair"... something in between. A hybrid of floral scent, Chypre, and "forest delight". Not least due to the violets and the moss note, which intertwine with the warm sun aromas of the "top note" and the woody-earthy base.
In fact, the violet is much more prominent than the "proud rose" and the "white jasmine", which merely support the violet. By the way, the composition is not shy either! And it has quite a bit of "wood in the huts" as it develops!
Combined with the moss-covered forest floor, it creates a powerful, "violet" scent that exudes a bittersweet charm. Especially now in autumn, a fragrance for women and men, kings and queens, bachelors and bachelorettes, indeed for all who love a strong purple!

Back to the Future
What a crazy scent this is: At first, it has a jasmine arrangement that feels incredibly retro! And at the same time, I can't help but laugh, thinking of the movie "Back to the Future," uncomplicated, relaxed, entertaining with its time travel. Yes, I feel well entertained by the fragrance, amused, suddenly transported back to the 90s, with a similar jasmine to that in Beauty by Calvin Klein - although I see upon checking that the CK is from 2010.

But the jasmine is not alone. There’s also something that has an 80s vibe, which I find both fascinating and somewhat unsuitable for me. I keep having to sniff the sprayed skin area intensely to figure out exactly what I'm smelling, what this retro vibe is. But I can't get beyond the Beauty jasmine, which, unlike CK, is combined with a fruity note.

The bottle also has something that reminds me of old times. At first glance, it looks modern and - aside from the fact that purple is not my color - not ugly. But as soon as I press the spray head, I’m startled: Somehow the spray hisses out as if there’s overpressure in the bottle, reminding me of aerosol cans from my childhood that still contained CFCs.

Behind the jasmine, a floral-fruity note emerges more prominently, which I think I recognize from the past, but I can't name it because it blends so well with the jasmine. I can't isolate it properly. It leans towards magnolia or peony, so a soft, gentle, slightly powdery bloom. Something third comes into play, it has a hint of sweetness and warmth, but I can't really name this note either. I think of pudding with cream flavor. So not vanilla or tonka, no musk or amber, but still warm and slightly creamy.

Nevertheless, overall it remains a rather cool, tendentially unsweet fragrance. I've often read in comments and statements that a scent smells "perfumy" and have wondered what that could possibly mean. I still don't know what others mean by that, but if I had to fill the term "perfumy" with content, it would fit here.

Unfortunately, the jasmine remains prominent over the surely 9 hours that this fragrance lasts. And some jasmines unfortunately have the tendency to develop increasingly unpleasantly sharp, fussy, and piercing on my skin. I can observe that here as well. As impressive as this jasmine note is, it ultimately led to the exclusion of the fragrance in Beauty. I fear this one will end up the same way.

Testing this quirky retro fragrance was fun. But now I need an oil change and Van Halen!

P.S.: I wrote this comment offline without knowledge of the pyramid and did not change it afterwards. The retro feeling likely came from the dominant jasmine and probably from the oakmoss, which certainly contributed to the impression of coolness. However, it is not the "real," typical oakmoss, but must be a modern synthetic replica, as I would have recognized it otherwise. The fruity note was watermelon, my peony-magnolia direction was rose with a hint of violet (once again typical that I don't recognize every rose as such), and my cream pudding was indeed amber. As a patchouli-adapted person, I naturally did not notice patchouli in tiny amounts.
