Forest meets ocean

This is the scent of where the forest meets the ocean. Fir trees and flowers behind you; gentle rhythmic lapping of the waves, the smell of sea salt and hints of seaweed in front of you. These images, these notes harmoniously blending together around you. I did find it to be very calming and grounding. Very well constructed.

Water Therapy

Despite its reputation as the flop of Nue Co's fragrance line-up, I think Water Therapy is really lovely. It's billed as a marine rose, which I only get slightly. In all honesty, this is one of those scents where I can't pick apart the notes. Reviewers mentioned the kelp note being off-putting, but I don't get that at all.

It's more like a very gentle masculine fragrance with the clary sage, fir, and vetiver, but without the awful overdose of ambroxan. Yes, there's amberwood notes here, too, but it's a much lighter hand. In my mind, this is almost a "freshie" in the way it connotes such gentle ease and likeability. It smells like... a guy wearing a fisherman sweater, standing on a yacht on a foggy morning alone.

I honestly think more men should explore this fragrance and the other Nue Co scents as alternatives to the Dior, Creeds, and Le Labo's on their wishlist. Beautiful fragrances from a lesser-known brand at a relatively accessible pricepoint.
