When A Rose is Not A Rose

I wanted to smell a big, open rose with a hint of vanilla. Instead, I got a whiff of someone’s clean, deodorized armpit, their deodorant of choice powdery & unscented. Rosie is a synthetic, musky ambroxan on my skin & smells like Not A Perfume by JHAG. It does have good longevity, as I applied a decent portion of my sample before bed & still smell it after waking & washing. It’s not a bad scent, just uninspiring, bringing to mind gray office cubicles & no-fluff detergents that get the job done with respect to sensitive noses. Possibly good for layering, suitable for the office or gym (as it sits within a tight, personal bubble), but unfortunately, she is too unassuming for my small perfume tray.

Rosie Rose

This is a very light sweet perfume...skin scent musk and dreamy rose. Does not have good lasting power, but it's a lovely bedtime scent! I have a sample. If you like similar soft skin scents, try the Sephora Favorites Spa Day Set of samplers!
Because of the simple scent and the fact that it doesn't last long, I will not buy a full bottle.
I am interested in smelling other Rosie Jane perfumes- I hear their Dulce release is a yummy vanilla chocolate!

Unusual

An unusual rose scent, Rosie Jane created an almost musty smelling fragrance that I neither like nor dislike. I’m right in the middle here.
It comes out strange and dry down is no different. There’s no complexity here, and it’s very light in nature. It’s almost as if I was misted by rose water as I walked through the garden.
It’s for someone who wants a fragrance, but not a heavy one. No one will notice you unless you are hugged, but sometimes that’s exactly what we want. I can barely smell it on myself, and I say barely because sometimes I catch a whiff and it’s nice.
I’m not in love, but I’ll go out on casual dates with this one every so often.

Musky Rose

My mom received a sample of Rosie and I decided to try it on myself. I fully expected not to like it because I generally dislike floral-heavy fragrances, ESPECIALLY if they have rose in them, but I actually don't mind it!

I can smell the rose, but it's not very strong. It blends nicely with the vanilla and the musk notes, and I find that it's more musky than floral. This is a clean and "safe" scent IMO. The projection isn't great, but because of that it's pretty inoffensive.

Overall, a nice scent, especially considering I'm not into florals/roses!

FAV Scent EVER

The perfect mix of fresh but sweet. Smells like the most luxurious and expensive shampoo. Decadent and warm with the musks yet crisp and airy in the rose and white amber. I first smelt it on my mom I couldn't stop talking about it for so long that she bought it for me (probably so i'd shut up about it lol) If this lasted more than 5 minutes on my skin it would be all I wore but it lasts all day on my mom.
