Wet Grass Becomes Minty Rose

Bitter citrus and extremely green opening, like wet grass clippings and an offputtingly sharp citrus-mint. I don't really like it, but after about 30 minutes it starts drying down to become a pleasantly light minty rose underlaid with watery citrus and clean musk. Very fresh and outdoorsy, like walking through a garden full of misty rose and mint plants. I get surprisingly strong projection off my skin for 2-3hr, with 6-8hr longevity.

Freshly crushed mint leaves!

First spray is cassia leaves, anise, grapefruit, floral with fresh crushed mint (no menthol!) and green notes with the smallest hint of rose. Anise picks up 20 minutes in. 1 hour in the rose and anise shine. The final dry down is a light rose musk. This is a well crafted scent, and the mint makes an excellent anchor. And I enjoy each phase of the dry down. Unfortunately, longevity is poor on my skin.

Smells like white lady meltdown on YouTube

ELdO You Or Someone Like You is the screechy confrontational performance art of a person having a freaky public meltdown, a full out adult tantrum, taking place midafternoon in a popular coffee chain or a ubiquitous lingerie store in the mall, and which is probably being recorded by spectators for millions of future views on YouTube even as the melodrama is unfolding. It’s the synthetic aroma of an indoor public space filled with too many people breathing at once and poorly circulated air, the awkward musk of distressed and embarrassed onlookers, the cool mineralic concrete of silent complicity, the acrid, antiseptic arrogance of entitlement and the tang of weaponized tears and performative victimhood of someone who felt personally attacked by Victoria’s Secret’s return policy regarding thong panties or the fact that Starbucks was out of oat milk for their ridiculous latte order. You or Someone like you is the fragrance of someone making a massively upsetting stink in front of a crowd and feeling absolutely no shame or remorse because they have a right to everything, they deserve everything, merely because they exist.

Unisex Florabotanica :)

Personally, I believe Florabotanica is a masterpiece fragrance which tends to lean a bit more feminine due to the pronounced rose. I decided to try YOSLY after reading about the similarities. It is super similar, and dare I say I prefer the latter as it is so versatile, not only in terms of the "gender" but even more when it comes to occasions and wearability. It would be among the top recommendations for migraine/nausea prone people, you could wear it to work, to a dinner (pairs well with food), going out for drinks, even a hike :D The notes seem well blended and high quality i.e. not synthetic, the mint is pronounced but more in a mint-tea way rather than toothpaste, which is, unfortunately, a common route mint forward fragrances tend to take. Perhaps controversial, but I also believe this is a good year-round, signature type of fragrance. I does not scream summer freshness to me in the way, for instance, Light Blue does with its almost sterile-like breeze. Overall a 10/10 for me!

A virgin mojito, with Sprite instead of rum and lawn trimmings instead of mint. There's a film of dish soap on the glass. Somehow, it works.

Minty wet grass with a culinary bend to it, almost like a salsa verde. There's a hint of floral that keeps it pretty. Green rose dry down

The mint here is somewhat overstated IMO- it's more a sweet green scent to me, almost vanillic. At the same time there's a harshness to it.
