Black Forest kirsch with a difference

"Cherry Grove", aha... With the knowledge of it - and certainly only then! - can be identified as a cherry. You can smoke and burn them afterwards anyway. Or you fill a smoked ham with charred cherry. A Black Forest ham. That would be Black Forest Kirsch something different. In short: A violent start, always on a brooding warm summer day.

Within minutes, however, the scent calms down and, if desired, a diffuse, halfway normal fruitiness hovers quietly over the smoked goods, although I probably would not have recognized it unsupported, the context is simply too unusual. A further part of the calming effect is that, in addition to the smoke impression, the leather is now rough and sparsely processed.

Wood is a big topic in the progress: after two hours a smoked, charred variant dominates. Bitter, but also quite "creamy". Accompanied by a trace of our cherry - sweet and sour rather than fruity. In the afternoon, on the other hand, I smell more light wood at first than coconut stuff. None or hardly any sweetness. The scent has become pale and makes little desire for the prospect of having to think about a coffin joinery for the rest of the day. Not least because our 'Stranger' seems to have a good shelf life at least for a natural fragrance, because even after seven, eight hours no fatigue is noticeable.

But the good guy gets his act together. In addition to the sourly leathery, a dark, firnish-like addition can finally be guessed at, which fanned out the wood by showing light and dark aspects. Besides, there's something dragging around the corners. Caramel vanilla? Hmm. After some deliberation, I follow another lead. Although saffron is not mentioned by the manufacturer (anymore?), I find the already expressed thought about it nevertheless plausible. And while we're on yellow: In the late afternoon I'm amazed about supposed approaches from Immortelle/Currykraut to Turmeric. After the cokey start, this is a truly original twist in the exit - which has also been made without any break gradually and as obvious over the day.

This is fun!

I'd like to thank the robins for rehearsing.
