As the moisture dries
I love the high desert and this scent captures the smell after moisture has evaporated. Then you smell the dry floral. No dampness that one may associate with petrichor (see night flyer for that vibe), but fresh dryness. The floral isn't too sweet and works well as a day scent.
I also think the bottle is attractive on the shelf and I even kept the packaging too. The price point is affordable, where I'm not worried about using it too much.

a desert visitor, she doesn't live here
First off, I do really love this fragrance. It might be my favorite floral, but I also struggle with florals. It has a rootiness that makes me feel like I'm smelling a full plant, free of the dirt.

I think that's where I'm disappointed in this fragrance. It promises petrichor and clay, and as a desert dweller, I am always excited for fragrances that capture the unique olfactory environment of the desert.

It does have dryness, and lacks the indolic, almost rotting quality of a lot of other florals. I just wish it smelled more like dirt, rocks, or clay. Maybe rain. Maybe sand. Something else to invoke the desert. I still cherish her though.

Missing notes
I grew up in the desert and was so excited about this one -- just look at those notes! Earthy damp petrichor! Melon-y cactus flower! Sweet clean agave! Dusty red clay!

I was sooooo sure this would be my high desert dream in a bottle.

Instead, it's just a blandly generic powdery floral.

I literally cannot pick up on a single advertised note.

What a letdown. :(

Super underrated imo. Smooth and minerally powder without any of the animalic notes that usually accompany powder. Looooove!

This does not smell like petrichor. Or cactus. "Dry floral" is a good way of describing it. Maybe a powdery violet or iris.
