Lavender Extrême Tom Ford 2019

OK, Tom Ford gave this one a really good nod (again): Lavender Extrême offers an exceedingly beneficial lavender note that comes across as sweet and balanced. Not quite much more, but not less either, and with minimal development over time (at the beginning I still think I hear the greeting of bergamot) - which you probably don't need at all with this fragrance. A thoroughly enchanting scent that probably owes its punch to the tonka base. Surprising durability and reasonable sillage.

I started with the criminally expensive 50ml flacon, and then quite quickly reordered the (only outrageously expensive) 250ml. Absurd price, no question - but the fragrance is really special and suitable as a feel-good, as a cuddle, as an office as well as a date night fragrance. Works in summer as well as winter, pulls the corners of your mouth up on grey days and is just huge fun. Is loud enough to be pleasantly perceived (even after hours by the wearer himself) - and yet treads softly enough to now really no one can go on the nerves.

And anyway: Have I actually already written that I can not stand lavender from fragrance oil lamps, in body creams or other cosmetic products to death? One of the few blind purchases that I have now really not regretted ...
