Henceforth the rose was covered
Rose, what does rose mean to you? Is it the rose we all know, a synthetic, overtaking, thick mess of a rose? This makes all of that look like a disgrace. I myself am a fan of literature, and I have to say, one thing came to my mind when I smelled this, Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, but then it struck me, she wouldnt wear this, this is too pure for her, this scent is too pure for any of us. I like to connect scents with one concept; this scent is the concept of pureness, a pure rose. But what is pureness but not a deceived truth of what we want to be, and that represents this scent perfectly. I watched the process of this scent being made, things didnt go as planned and some things changed, but that's the way of pureness: it isnt one thing, its the change of your ways to always be that, pure. Everyone has a reason to be pure, some want to feel clean from their sins, some want to try again, but this scent wants to be pure to achieve what wasn't achieved before, the perfect rose. A rose being guilty of its past to hide from it all, wanting to strip away what made it to achive a idealistic dream. But now what is this scent?
This is pure rose, roses in every way, from China to Bulgaria. Its a rose you dont often see, because it's green, It's damp, the water drop feel on the rose petal. The stalk was cut open to show its green insides, the water touched both and became pure, the pure rose grows in the garden, and this garden shows us what can be achieved. For what it is from the start its a fresh, green and aquatic rose, not salty aquatic but in the way of a water drop, it has its pureness from here, but it still cant hide its past from what it really is. The rose in this isnt a headache one (tho i do have one writing this, not from this scent...), but more of a rose you would see in traditional scents. Scents dating back to times we werent even born or planned in, and thats the art of perfumery, showing history of materials into your scents, and Eric has done that perfectly.
When you feel the heArt of this scent it begins to show what its hiding, the thing the rose didnt want to show, the cover-up. The oud is showing now, making the rose less green and more of a green dirty scent, this face really reminds me of "Merciful Heart | House of Heartistry / Heartistry Perfumery" in a way im very fond of, and I respect this scent for it. But the oud doesnt force the rose away, it mearly blends with the rose to show dirt on the petal instead of the droplet, the dirt that the rose always wanted to cover up, but didnt know it could ever do.. until now.
The ever wanted end to the scent, the gates that this has reached, the angelic status of musk and rose is beyond good, its beyond us, the musk used in this is one of the finest sort, the musk cleaned away the dirt, the father cleaned the child of its sins to finally able to enter the gates, the musk is beautiful and light, and that is what art is about, carrying out a message.
Imagine the rose growing in the garden of eden, being once an innocent little rose, being mixed with dirt and sin, but lastly being cleaned from the sin and being moved the Eden, a story of the roses lifetime, one we should never forget in anyway, and this scent i can call the perfect rose.
