The Magician House of Heartistry 2024

Where to begin? The Magician walk the line between a good first impression and something that reveals many layers to be uncovered. I'd compare it to a play, with many natural notes sharing the stage.

My first impression is of something old-fashioned and dignified, a bright top over earthy notes. Reminds me of a gin and tonic. Indeed it smells like a Magician.

With each wear however I keep noticing more! A sparkling ambergris top note, slight bright acidic citrus, stemmy rose, and sparkling jasmine. The cooling juniper lift is still there but doesn't dominate. The heart includes the beautiful blend of patchouli and oud in the Heartistry chypre style I love do much.

The base smells most similar to the fragrance off the cap, with the brown leather bottle fitting the theme perfectly. I get an earthy leather blend of tobacco, oud, vetiver, and oakmoss. The longevity of this stage is really excellent.

Overall I'm sure I'll continue to find something new with each wear, but I love it so far. Excellence as always.

Magicians travel from across the lands, seeking gems and ingridients to cast stronger and stronger spells, brew potions or maybe take out a rabbit from a hat! The thing is, every magician wants something to do with all their powers, and Eric has used his powers to create this! Maybe the magician is in all reality Eric behind the screen making all there sents? Who knows, but i find it amazing! Now normally most people dont sit and think what a magician would smell like, but i did, and i figure this formula is amazing for it! So what do we all want, we all wish we could be magicians and use our powers to give us food or money, or just make our life easier in general! So when you know that we cant really get any magicial powers, at least we can smell as one, so for what i can call this is the scent of magic. But what is for the scent that give us powers, what does it really smell like? How does one obtain the status of being a magical scent? Lets go over the scent now!

So what is this scent? Now as ive described before no house of heartisty smells the same from the cap as on skin, often not even close! This one was quite differnt, when you smell it from the cap you get a very tart berry smell, sweet and resinous oud in a way, very very sweet but also quite warm! So when you get it on skin, the berry smell of a little more sour juniper berry comes through, it lays with a layer of rose and hints of oud coming through, its sweeter than you would expect, its now darker then from the cap, the ouds and vetiver comes through a bit but is smoothened out by some floral and fresh aspect, quite an intresting start to the scent!

Now when it starts drying on skin you really get that magical feeling! A tart oud with floral hints such as rose and jasmine really hit you while remaning strong and dark, the sandalwood shows now with a rounded greeness mixed with otther florals and fruits, its quite alike to "SandalVer Oud Supreme | House of Heartistry / Heartistry Perfumery" mixed with "Merciful Heart | House of Heartistry / Heartistry Perfumery" in a very very nice sense! Its greener and more woody now, imagine laying a resinous powder ontop of some greens and woods, very nice way to enchant this scent! Its truly magical

Now you get what you get, you may not get magical powers but you get a magical scent! When it dries down you get a more tobacco and spicy almost aromatic woody oudy scent, differnt types of wood blending together with the spices, but still having small notes of the tart juniper berry! Truly a magical scent for a magical house of scent and arts!
