Takes some time to blossom

I ordered the fragrance blind some time ago and was initially relatively unimpressed, but never dissatisfied. However, after wearing it more often in the summer, it has grown on me more and more.

At first spray, it’s quite indistinct; it could be any citrus-fresh scent from Douglas, but over time, a cool, incredibly fruity, and refreshing mandarin note develops that I have never smelled before.

I was unexpectedly approached about the fragrance quite often, even without being really close to the people beforehand, which convinced me of the sillage as well.

Additionally, I find the simple bottles and the story behind the brand and the individual fragrances great, so definitely give it a try; I will be bathing in this scent again next summer :)

Solid Greenish Freshness

Try To Follow Me is a solid fragrance with a certain green freshness. The scent doesn't do anything groundbreaking, but it also doesn't falter in any way. It is simply designed to be fundamentally solid and is quite well received in its environment.

Try To Follow Me starts off nicely with the mandarin used. It brings a fruity side to the mix without ever becoming too sweet. A certain peppery touch can also be felt.
You can simply sense a certain "sharpness" that may also be invoked by the ginger.
Above all, I can immediately notice the greenish flair at the beginning.

The longer the fragrance sits on the skin, the more the greenish flair comes through.
The mandarin gradually retreats, but the certain sharpness or peppery aspect of the scent is still recognizable.
The vetiver now also comes more to the forefront and, in my opinion, is quite noticeable.

As even more time passes, woody facets are added, along with a mossy musk base.

All in all, I find the fragrance, as described above, to be really solid.
I like it, but it still doesn't completely resonate with me.
It's just not quite my DNA. However, that is always a matter of personal taste.

In my opinion, the fragrance is unisex wearable, but I tend to see it more on men.

I find the performance of the fragrance to be good.
On my skin, the scent lasts about 7-8 hours.
The projection is also perfectly fine.

Somehow trivial

I received Try To Follow Me as a sample this morning and of course I had to test it immediately after breakfast. I was really looking forward to my first LEN fragrance. I find the idea of the stories behind the scents very interesting; however, such an allegory also brings expectations with it, because the fragrance is supposed to evoke a certain emotion or create a connection with the scent.

I have to agree with my predecessors, Try To Follow Me smells like a mix of GIT and Himalaya. I don't think that's bad; Try To Follow Me smells good and is refreshing, but unfortunately, I just miss the character here and I see nothing unique about Try To Follow Me, which has somewhat disappointed me. I really expected more. I find Try To Follow Me is like a GIT or Himalaya with the edges and corners removed. Unfortunately, it doesn't spark anything for me. Try To Follow Me could also be a €30-60 designer fragrance from the drugstore.

The longevity is unfortunately only average. I could no longer perceive Try To Follow Me after just over 5 hours; I expected more here, and the sillage is disappointing as well. After 2-3 hours, Try To Follow Me is already very close to the skin for me.

Unfortunately, Try To Follow Me cannot evoke the associations that the description tried to create in me. Try To Follow Me remains in my memory as a trivial fragrance.
