Crisp, green floral bouquet

It's my understanding that Vera Wang fragrances are designed to be worn for special occasions, specifically on your wedding day. Surprising however is the tendency for most people to wear them casually.

Bouquet is one of those fragrances I would wear casually myself. I probably wouldn't consider wearing this on my 'big day'.

I've always been that girl that dreamt of an Autumn wedding, even though the consensus of women choose their wedding day during the heat of Summer. This crisp, citrusy and clean floral may be the perfect choice for others, yet it does not appeal to me.

I seem to detect a note that smells rather similar to a green apple in the opening, which contributes to this fragrance's Summery crispness. The juiciness of the overall composition makes the scent more playful than romantic.

Personally I find Bouquet to be rather synthetic and generic. This fragrance and the Incanto line by Salvatore Ferragamo are rather similar in both scent and style.

Another disappointment was the lasting strength which was relatively weak on my skin. The scent comes across as being quite thin and watery. Unfortunately I am not a fan of this fragrance.

Freshly Cut Bouquet of Flowers

A hymn to a beautiful fragrance!
I treated myself to it. The large bottle has moved in with me today. Years ago, I tested it in a department store, was totally thrilled, but the high price kept me from buying it.
Now there are only remaining stocks, and Bouquet was allowed to move in with me before it completely disappears from the fragrance landscape.

The beginning is slightly citrusy and green. After a short time, the flowers appear, and the sillage becomes weaker. Thanks to lavender and cedar, the fragrance never becomes too floral sweet. There is always a freshness that runs through the entire progression. Perhaps it is the dew drops, if one can even smell them. A scent like a freshly cut bouquet of flowers.

For me, B. is the perfect everyday fragrance for spring and summer. It may not be spectacular, but it is beautiful and fresh, unobtrusive and always suitable.

I like it very much, and it reminds me a little bit of the green freshness of Manifesto by Isabella Rosselini.

A Cool Breath of Spring

Bouquet starts green and fresh, like the first leaf buds, underlined by rather tart citrus notes. As it develops, the herbaceous green freshness diminishes and flowers begin to unfold. These are rather delicate, understated floral scents; overall, the fragrance is soft and reserved. For a bride (Vera Wang is known as a bridal gown designer), it might be suitable, but only if she does not want a statement fragrance, but rather wishes to exude an aura of new beginnings, clarity, spring, and morning freshness, which is accentuated by this scent.
Bouquet is suitable for that, and just as well as a subtle everyday fragrance that does not stand out but surrounds the wearer with a hint of spring morning. It will certainly not distract the wearer. Unfortunately, the recognizability is also rather low.
Once the flowers have bloomed and the scent has become a bit sweeter, it hardly changes anymore. It has been close to the skin from the very beginning, and it remains close to the skin. I consider an overdose impossible; nevertheless, the fragrance reliably lasts through its eight-hour day.
However, there is one aspect that may become interesting in light of the wedding night that I do not want to withhold from you: In the mouth, it is not particularly noticeable, at least not unpleasant, when licking previously perfumed spots...

On March 2, I wrote this comment, and then Vera's Bouquet disappeared back into the closet. Now it is the end of July, we have had scorching summer weather for more than a week, and Bouquet has become my favorite summer fragrance. It is dew-fresh, and I find that I smell as if I have been working in the herb garden when I wear it. A little earthy, very herbal, quite pronounced mint notes, green, still floral, but above all, like freshly picked garden herbs.
