Not something I'd want to wear
Anka opens with a bright, fresh and heavily metallic scent which I found to be quite unpleasant. As it dries down, the metallic accord begins to retreat somewhat but it's always present in the background throughout the life of the fragrance. On top of this is a dull woody-spicy-ambery type of mix. I couldn't really identify the spices; more like a dull, nondescript type of scent. Also struck me as very synthetic. It wasn't so bad to be a scrubber and I wasn't put off by it - after all, I did wear it the entire day. Anka is something I'm not going to wear again. It's definitely a masculine fragrance.

If there is someone who thinks he might like it, you'll be pleased to know that the performance is phenomenal. Longevity is forever and projection is quite powerful. Too bad the scent isn't better.

Spicy, Metallic Amberwoods
Before I begin, let me say that I do not usually decry the use of aromachemicals in fragrances; I understand their role, and that they are an essential part of the toolkit.

That being said, I am not sure what this scent is trying to accomplish, or how someone could find it particularly appealing.

While the longevity and sillage are great, the scent itself is somewhat frustrating. Specifically, all I get from this composition is cloves, metallic saffron, and amberwoods. The overall effect is that of dirty leather placed close to a campfire.

Unfortunately there is no lavender or apple here, as in Loumari's Noble Cavale Loumari, and no vanillic sweetness here, as in MFK's Baccarat Rouge. On top of that, Mind Games' Gambit utilizes soapy and floral qualities to complement the strong cloves and amberwoods much more effectively.

The overall effect of Anka something without much character, without much nuance, and seemingly no value as a part of your collection.
