Sizzling Vanilla Victoria's Secret 2024

incredibly good, really. loosely reminds me of Velvet Petals, actually. definitely similar vibes. but this is very definitively a summer scent to me. I'm sure it could work in other seasons, but I smell it and it's just... summer! I've noticed that sometimes I get the mango, and sometimes I don't. it's very different when I do. it's actually a bit off-putting, as it kind of smells like... a cleaner? odd, but other than that, this is lovely. and since that weird scent goes away very quickly, it's not like, a huge negative. aside from the odd mango smell, it's a sweet scent, not too strong... and not really vanilla, either. I am not fond of straightforward vanilla or vanilla-dominant scents. they're too bland for my liking, and it's just not a preferred prominent note. this isn't like that at all, it's lightly floral and gently sweet... and very slightly coconutty. like, super slight. to the point that it doesn't bother me, while the smell of coconut tends to make me nauseous otherwise, whether it be in fragrance or food. for a body mist, this has very good longevity. I couldn't say exactly what I get out of it, but this is definitely one of the better performers in my mist collection.
I thought it'd layer well with my gardenia fragrances. so I tested that with Fairy Dust and it worked wonderfully. this would layer with lots of things otherwise. Island Gardenia and Tropidelic Fragrance Mist(which smells like gardenia to me) came to mind first as other good companions, but I think it'd also be good with "Yara | Lattafa / لطافة" and more. I could see this working nicely with Cheirosa '62 too.
I bought this because a review on the Victoria's Secret site cited that this smells like Mango Temptation. I've never smelled that, so I couldn't be sure about that claim... but that's what got me interested. while it doesn't live up to that imo, it's very good otherwise.
