Eau de Cologne Super Voirnet 2013

Very rich citrus grounded by beautiful full patchouli. There's a deep fruitiness to this, but not sweet at all. Rose comes forward full and rich. Florals relax a bit and your get an earthier slightly spicy scent, a hint of the oud , slightly rotten wood, light rose more background in this stage.

This perfume is quite strong and full, even testing from dabber. Overall the perfume is always full and incredibly smooth. A rich experience not sure, it just screams perfection. A pleasant experience to sample and enjoy.

When I first sprayed this, I was punched in the face by rose. Sharp, loud, and unapologetic. That was almost all I could perceive. Perhaps it was influenced by the fact that I had just come home from a long flight, but a few days later I decided to revisit it.

The opening was still powerful, yet this time it revealed something beautiful: a rich cherry note intertwined with the rose and a touch of saffron. This fragrance is non-linear.

I’m generally not a fan of rose. Patchouli, on the other hand, has always been a favorite of mine. Had I read perfumer Marius’ description beforehand — “African patchouli lingers like an unforgettable whisper” — I might have understood it sooner, because that is exactly what happens… AND I absolutely love it. The truffle and coconut powder actually works here, subtle but noticeable.

The far drydown is stunning. A dark, black rose softened by a subtle touch of vanilla, with patchouli lingering quietly in the background. Creamy, smooth, and impeccably blended. Every note feels in tune with the next.

Performance is excellent, with great longevity and sillage. For me, this fragrance is genuinely worth the price.

This is, without question, the only perfume with Rose that I truly love.

EDIT: Everytime i wear it, it gets better, feels rounder, easier to separate notes, notes that also gets more prominent and are allowed more space. Non-linear indeed. Also got my first compliment if that aspect is of importance to you.

EDIT 2: This has macerated well. More seductive, no sharpness, more vanilla. Absolutely beautiful. Less projection and sillage, does form a beautiful scent bubble instead.

Patchouli Noir opens with strong notes of cherry and saffron and just a hint of orange, sweet but not cloying, before going into a darker heart of patchouli, earthy truffle, and Bulgarian rose with just a touch of magnolia. The coconut smooths the fragrance, giving it warmth and balance. It’s a rich, elegant fragrance that’s equal parts sweet, earthy, and mysterious. A very non-linear fragrance that’s blended to perfection. Last time I wore it I could smell it on my skin for 16 hours. Huge sillage too. One of my favourite fragrances at the moment.
