Xerjoff Naxos...The big brother of Pure Havanne ?

As with many other fragrances, I came across this fragrance through the good rating.
I was well aware that this is supposed to smell like Pure Havanne by Thierry Mugler, as numerous Youtuber and other reviews and statements have already mentioned this.

Well, said done. Ordered myself then a sample of Naxos. I mean, there really must be a more or less "big" difference to Pure Havanne. I could not imagine with the best will in the world that this should smell the same as Pure Havanne. Especially not for this money.

So when the sample arrived, I sprayed Pure Havanne on one hand and Naxos on the other. You can definitely tell a difference in the opening.
Naxos smells nobler, more floral and brighter. This could be due to the lavender and citrus notes.
Pure Havanne on the other hand is much more direct. One smells immediately honey and tobacco. This also remains more or less linear so. There is not so much happening.

With the Naxos lasts this Opening ca.15 min until I then also smell these tobacco and honey notes stronger. In the course of this also remains only slightly brighter and fresher.

Now of course the question is, are this tobacco and honey notes really different? In my opinion, rather not. Which notes are also qualitatively better I can not say unfortunately. Surely you know it also, that you can recognize certain notes from the smell, whether they smell more synthetic or natural. Anyway, I noticed no big difference between the two.

Would I add this fragrance to my collection? No.
Of course, Naxos is more premium than Pure Havanne in terms of presentation and opening. If presentation is important to me, go for it. Find XerJoff has great presentations and bottles.
But if I'm honest, so I would rather take the Pure Havanne. Think it is difficult to determine a difference only on the basis of sillage, let alone by people who have little or no experience with fragrances or are beginners. They would probably say that both smell identical.

A rating I do not give the fragrance. What is the already worse or better? Everyone should decide for themselves. Therefore, test this fragrance before. If you have Pure Havanne, then spray on a test strip or hand him on and on the other Naxos. A "real" difference I notice actually only in the opening. In the course rather minimal.

On the whole, however, are well made at Düft. Both also keep long and the sillage is also very good. Would both rather recommend in the winter.
