Year-rounder for date nights or for solo leveling

I haven't yet taken Amorist for a spin on date night yet but this is perfect for intimate moments. Or this could be for the solo bachelor, or simply someone looking to subtly impress his love interest.

Amorist is quite a powerful fragrance. I've had it make its mark on my skin for over ten hours which surprised me. Anything floral in my experience tends to fade rather abruptly, so extra points here.

With magnolia present throughout, an extremely pleasant floral accompanies the wearer for hours. Ylang-ylang softly composes everything together, and the blackcurrant is mixed in but not in a way to grab any attention. Amorist is a subtle fragrance meant to be discovered, not announced. It has a hint, a touch of soapiness but not in any bubbly way—simply fresh, even almost minty (but not quite).

Beautiful bottle gradient to tell its story. Amorist can be worn by yourself if you're in that type of mood or with a significant other—this can be worn unisex and may seem feminine-leaning but can undoubtedly be worn with confidence by a man.

Definitely getting a full bottle eventually. This is for those into a more gentle but signature-worthy scent. Another win in my book.

Flowers for Well-Being

Today is my first review on Parfumo, so please be gentle with me :)

For me, this is the first full bottle from the Marc Gebauer fragrances. The other four (Arabian King, Berserker, Air Tiger, Orange Flamingo) I already have as samples. Among these, only the Orange Flamingo is wearable for me; I find the rest very interesting, but not suitable for going out.

I was able to test Amorist through a scent card included with my last order from Marc Gebauer. I was already very excited about it, so I had to get the bottle.

Now to the scent:
The fragrance is consistently sweet without becoming annoying for me. However, it is not a sweetness like that of "Erba Pura | XerJoff", which is very fruity. Here, it is a very floral sweetness. I distinctly perceive magnolia and lily. As a man, I can say it is very well received by women, especially because it is so floral, sweet, and simply very pleasing; it is definitely unisex wearable. The longevity is, as usual with Marc Gebauer fragrances, just top-notch, and the sillage is also very good; you leave behind a beautiful sea of flowers. For me, it is a spring scent, but also well-suited for summer, as long as it’s not too hot.

For me, it is clearly the best release from Marc Gebauer so far, as it is very easy to wear and has consistently brought positive reactions. For me, it is a fragrance that simply makes you feel good. People who enjoy sweet and floral scents should definitely give this one a try :)

Marc's Masterpiece

This fragrance is, for me, the best of Marc Gebauer's previous scents; it brings an incredibly pleasant freshness and a light sweetness.
When I first wore this fragrance, I was truly amazed and surprised by what Marc has created; I fell in love with this scent immediately.
It will definitely be joining my collection soon!
What makes it special is that I find it not really overpowering but beautifully light.
For anyone who enjoys a floral sweet scent, I can only recommend this fragrance!

A sweet floral scent characterized by magnolia and lily.
This fragrance is very pleasant yet still quite striking.
Suitable for leisure as well as for a lovely evening out.
It feels as if you are in a flower forest with a gentle breeze of rose and many other blossoms.

Floral-sweet for men? IT IS POSSIBLE!!

For me, the Amorist, Orange Flamingo & Air Tiger definitely belong to my favorites among the Gebauer fragrances. It may not be a beast mode scent like the Air Tiger, but that’s not its intention either. This fragrance stands out to me much more through its restraint, without being intrusive or causing headaches: It quietly and subtly accompanies me throughout the day, occasionally becoming subtly present and drawing the attention of those around me. On my skin, the scent unfolds effortlessly from morning to evening, and especially in the first 8 hours, it exudes a pleasant sillage.

The recent reformulation of the fragrance, as indicated by Marc Gebauer (MG), has definitely retained the "essence of the Amorist." Only the concentration of fragrance oils has been slightly increased to enhance projection - an effect that I can certainly confirm from my own experience.
While the first version of the Amorist was more floral, flowery, and sweet to me, the new batch feels a bit more masculine, with the notes of blackcurrant and bergamot standing out more clearly. The magnolia is present throughout the entire scent journey, giving it a special note and developing into a powdery, creamy nuance in the dry-down. Despite this development, the unmistakable Amorist DNA remains consistently present thanks to the magnolia and the other floral notes.

As a man, I have already received many compliments for this fragrance, from both women and men. The fresh, powdery sweetness has been positively perceived, without anyone pointing out that it could solely be a women's fragrance.
As other reviewers have emphasized, the scent fits perfectly with a confident man with elegance, possibly even a suit wearer?!
Why not...

The price-performance ratio is impressive and fair for the quality offered, with perfumer Christian Carbonnel not being a disappointment.

The bottle perfectly reflects the scent notes, floral and flowery (white) at the top, with a nice very light vanilla sweetness in the background (red). It naturally matches all other bottles from MG.

A blind purchase could be considered, but a test would be advisable...
Especially for men, as the floral sweetness might not appeal to everyone immediately.
....But if it doesn’t appeal, perhaps the ladies in the family/friend circle could surely make something of it?!
For women, the Amorist is definitely a safe purchase recommendation.

Overall, a fragrant masterpiece that skillfully transcends the boundaries between genders and envelops its wearers, INDEPENDENT of gender, in a unique olfactory experience.
