My God, what was going on there?
"A visit to a niche perfumery in Leiden in the Netherlands while on vacation".
Nope - that was an experience!
The gentleman sprayed Atractivo Wood Extrait de Parfum as my second fragrance on a test strip and I was already in seventh heaven. However, I was just as confused because this first impression was perfect! It happened so quickly.
He sprayed it on a test strip - I wanted it directly on my arm. So the scent, not the seller. Smelled on the skin - awesome!!! A prickly sweet start, but with woody leather notes coming through immediately. The special thing for me was that it was immediately unisex - the sweetness wasn't too feminine and the leather wasn't too masculine.
So, now I had this masterful work of art on my arm. The journey continues. So many more great fragrances on the test strip.
But I had to keep smelling my arm - the leather is present, but still with this wonderful, sweet carpet pad. Cotton candy say the notes, and the lovely salesperson too. Fits. Plus the tangy red pepper. Cinnamon adds a special spice.
It was 24 degrees today and I wore it despite the cinnamon and candy floss. The leather note is just soooo ingenious and delicious. I can't get enough of this fragrance.
The sandalwood in the base is melting. I'm also wearing it in my hair today and this sandal-cinnamon note with every gust of wind is magical!
We spent about three quarters of an hour in the store. To be honest, I quickly realized that this leather-sandalwood masterpiece had to move in. No sooner said than done. Big bottle, please bring it here.
