Like water on a hot stone...
... this is how Fiesta smells.
During a short vacation in Holland in spring, I discovered the enchanting Abdolito perfumery in Leiden. As soon as I entered the small, high-quality yet lovingly furnished store, I immediately felt welcome. Abdolito himself greeted us with a smile and guided me and my companion through his impressive fragrance collection.
One of the fragrances I fell in love with and ended up buying was "Fiesta". Although I am usually quite good at recognizing the fragrance notes, "Fiesta" surprised me. For the first time, I can't clearly smell any of the listed notes, which makes this fragrance particularly fascinating for me and my nose. Instead, it evokes a strong association in me:
It reminds me of a stone heated by the sun and doused with water, or of hot asphalt after a summer rain. Angelina Patchouli would say: "Guys, that's not normal asphalt... that's hot asphalt covered in powdered sugar after a summer rain. This image is hard to put into words, but I think that's the magic of this fragrance, which I would describe as fairly linear.
The uniqueness of "Fiesta" probably lies in its ability to evoke vivid and unexpected associations. It is a fragrance that challenges and soothes the senses at the same time Every spritz of this perfume takes me back to warm summer days and sudden rain showers that turn the asphalt into a steaming, vibrant carpet of scent, or to childhood summer vacations, water games with a watering can.
The sillage is moderate in terms of self-perception, the durability is average, good close to the skin.
The visit to Abdolito was not just a purchase, but an experience. His passion for perfumes and his flair for individual fragrances made the visit a special moment. I can only recommend anyone who is in Leiden to visit this charming store and let Abdolito take you on a fragrant journey.
I would be interested to know how the Parfumo community perceives the fragrance? Does anyone else get the hot wet asphalt?
