Sugarloaf with Fruit
The bottle is simply adorable. So far, I like it best of all the summer editions from Issey.
The scent is very delicious. The pear at the top is a really ripe Williams pear, dripping with juice. Issey truly creates beautiful fragrances; I hadn't really explored this one before, but it's worth it.
The scent progression is harmonious, with rose and clove forming an unusual but skillful combination, although I think the rose is more prominent. The woody notes clearly come from cedar and sandalwood. I would be very interested to hear how others perceive this.
Although the bottle strongly resembles a sugarloaf and the pear brings sweetness at the top, the scent is not sticky. It's simply deliciously fresh with a slightly bitter-fresh base.
Unfortunately, the pleasure doesn't last too long, about 3-4 hours.
