A Scent That Stays in Your Mind
On a trip, I visited a perfume store with a friend. We were trying out some fragrances when we were approached by a nice salesperson. He looked at me and took us to a shelf where several scents from Brunello Cucinelli were displayed. He sprayed a puff onto a business card, and I was blown away: wood, leather, and, forgive me, cola. For weeks, I kept the business card in my wallet. I had to smell the card over and over again. I had never smelled anything so distinctive before. I had found my signature scent, but 285 euros was too steep for me. I read up on Quentin Bisch and ordered various samples. B683 was my favorite among them. But in my opinion, it couldn't quite compare to Sogno Notturno. It was similar, but differently wonderful. A bit more extroverted, Sogno Notturno felt more like old money. After the scent on the business card faded, I also got a sample of it. And then I knew: I needed it. And I needed B683 too. Suddenly, I had two signature scents: one for work and refined evenings, and one for more festive occasions. And I had a lot less money in my account. But it was worth it to me.
