Imbolc Curious Perfume 2017

"Imbolc" is the ancient Irish festival of lights and purification, celebrated around February 1st.
The natural fragrances from "Wonderchest Perfums," NY, from the "Wheel for the Year" series are meant to reflect each of the ancient Irish festivals. Ms. Brodskaya's scents are made from natural oils and essences. If alcohol is present in the fragrances, it is only pure distilled from grains. The perfumes have a traditional feel yet are pleasant, natural, and, in my opinion, still unique and beautiful with interesting developments. Above all, they are very long-lasting for natural scents, lasting six to twelve hours on me. It is essential to have patience and to wait for the development even with less nuanced fragrances.
"Imbolc" is a cinnamon-dominant scent, initially paired with the characteristically woody-resinous myrrh (not listed). This is what I primarily perceive as a dry-woody scent very close to the skin.
However, the initially strong and then receding sillage envelops me with citrusy hints, a delicate, unique, slightly creamy floral blend with a touch of orange scent. An indefinable filigree sweetness and powderiness lies beneath.
At first, "Imbolc" skims just past a lovely Christmas room fragrance for a while. But then it unfolds into a beautiful, bright, warm, cozy winter scent that also hints at the eagerly anticipated spring with a delicately layered floral mixture.
Even after twelve hours on the skin and with minimal sillage, I can still perceive a floral-balsamic-resinous, slightly sweet scent with cinnamon.
