Cool Dewy Morning Mist
The name of this perfume initially made me suspect that it might still represent the lush sweet and gourmand type, this time entirely with natural ingredients.
However, in correspondence with Ms. Brodskaya, she informed me that she prefers bitter and cool, woody-mossy scents.
The natural fragrances from "Wonderchest Perfums," NY, created by perfumer Anna-Elvira Brodskaya, are made from natural oils and essences. If alcohol is present in the fragrances, it is only distilled from grains. The perfumes have a traditional feel yet are pleasantly fresh, bitter, natural, and in my opinion still unique, sometimes particularly beautiful with interesting developments. Above all, they are very long-lasting for natural scents, lasting six to twelve hours on me. It is absolutely essential to have patience and to wait for the development even with less differentiated fragrances.
"Morning Star Dust" starts with a green note paired with quite bitter neroli. The southernwood seems to tame the neroli. A pleasant tuberose has a very subdued scent, just as I could imagine it in the morning coolness. I also detect typical ylang-ylang, but very sparingly used. In "Morning Star Dust," there is nothing oppressive, sultry, or even animalistic, as can often be perceived with neroli, tuberose, and ylang-ylang in perfumes. There are also other delicate flowers added, such as the American buttercups/anemones, whose scent I do not know in nature.
Additionally, there is sweetgrass, known as cabreuva wood, and mastic.
Overall, "Morning Star Dust" is a cool, slightly woody and bitter perfume with a finely balanced floral mix, delicate and understated.
"Morning Star Dust" does not have a long development, it settles relatively quickly, and the wood scent intensifies a bit.
"Morning Star Dust" has a medium sillage and lasts six hours on me. However, it can still be perceived on the skin for several hours longer.
I assess "Morning Star Dust" as a bitter-transparent beautiful, pleasantly balanced and understated light perfume with an aromatic woody note.
