Peach in rum, embedded in tobacco and vanilla :)
Triumph of Bacchus has me like the previous speakers very quickly overrun!
Sweet and spicy is right up my alley, so I like the Herod, Oajan, Side Effect, Arabesque and Golden Powder track. Arabesque is my favorite of these so far.

The alcoholic peach is initially very tangy fruity and the rum note comes through strongly at the same time. The whole thing embedded in tobacco and rounded off with vanilla gives a really nice spice! The fragrance smells very pleasant and harmonizes well. Overall, not as overly sweet as, for example, Initio Side Effect. All around a fine oriental fragrance that is generally pleasing and easy to wear. By the spice and sweetness rather in winter / autumn to see. Durability quite long, I smell even after 8h still...

In fact, I had to order the fragrance after the sample also promptly :)
Positively surprised I was by Argos itself, on the request to receive a sample of another fragrance they sent me not only samples of all their fragrances with, but also a travel atomizer. The packaging was beautifully designed, several little letters with wax seals and a coupon code for the next order right there. Very ornate and fitting for the opulent name and scent :)
The bottle is also appropriately designed, stands very nicely. Dead weight sufficient to beat down the next burglar, similar to the lids of Parfums de Marly :)

Should have smelled times, if you can start with the initially mentioned fragrances what!

Sensual seduction of the great Bacchus!
When I read the notes, white peach, rum, jasmine, tobacco,... i knew from the beginning this fragrance belongs to me. 4 days later, the flacon was already there. I opened the package full of anticipation very gently, not that something could break and then I held this beautiful artful flacon in my hands. The very first spray on my wrist. I waited a short moment for the alcohol to dissipate and then I smelled the scent!!!! It's called "Triumph of Bacchus" designed by Christian Petrovich, a god of wine, intoxication, madness and ecstasy. I smelled the fragrance and really saw in my imagination! Bacchus before me, seducing me with this perfume. Christian Petrovich has created a fragrance that mirrors that of a wine god like Bacchus in reality. Very sensual warm, sweet like wine and floral like jasmine. I as a man have to say that I really love jasmine, not only here but in many different fragrances. Triumph of Bacchus belongs to one of my favorite perfumes from now on!

EDP vs. Extrait / The possible coming star...
Hello everyone,

today I would like to talk about a very special fragrance, it's about the Triumph of Bacchus Eau de Parfum and I would like to (among other things) go into the headline.

Before I go into that - what can you expect?

For the first 15 minutes it's a mix of peach and apple with a little rum and saffron, after this time the perceived main character is also added = the tobacco. And this not with a crushing force, but YES very present, but still very gentle/soft and this also persists. After X hours, the face of the fragrance emerges, which I really like. This beautiful mix of tobacco, the creaminess (musk + sandalwood) and the very subtle sweetness of vanilla and this magical touch of amber = mega!
The base note of the fragrance reminds me of an old, mature XJ 1861 Naxos and that brings me directly to my second point in the title.

Who knows..., maybe the Triumph of Bacchus Eau de Parfum is the next star!
Why?

When it was released in 2019, the "I want it and I need it" feeling was very modest. 2019 to 2022 felt like THE years of the XJ 1861 Naxos and that was one of the reasons why it received less attention.... now that this "hype" is flattening out a bit and some people are looking more to the left and right, they are also seeing other fragrances.

And since the XJ 1861 Naxos is demonstrably very well received, something similar is not bad and I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a small "hype fragrance"!
But why did I only rate it with an 8 (the pure fragrance)?
I must honestly confess it is too sweet and a touch too synthetic for me and we still have the Triumph of Bacchus Extrait de Parfum!
EDP vs. extrait:

I can only recommend my review of Triumph of Bacchus Extrait de Parfum ( https://www.parfumo.de/Parfums/Argos/triumph-of-bacchus-extrait-de-parfum/rezensionen/292238 ) to you!

For just under 100€ more (yes I know a lot of money) you get so much more for your money. Less to hardly any synthetics, far more performance (H/S) and it really goes down incredibly well! It's really mega good and is in my (!) Top 10.

Maybe order a bottling of both ;).

If I wasn't really convinced, I wouldn't recommend it to you!
And now have a nice day/evening, or whatever you read this review, LG the Benny
_______

(Now the same as almost always - because it's true!)

Now on the subject of luxury:

As you can see in my profile, among other things, I have really smelled many fragrances and there are fragrances where you smell a certain (partly) strong synthetic and you notice quite quickly that some fragrance houses go for quantity rather than quality and there are some where you just realize "oh come on, let's put more + better in" and you can smell this at the end of the day.

And now, almost finally, to the point about the "dear price", let me put it this way: if we say we have a certain desire for luxury products / fragrance products in the niche sector, then I find it difficult or quite honestly almost pointless to chalk this up as something negative. Nobody is forcing us to spend this money. If you ask me now: Benny is it worth it? Then I say, if you want to spend it, test it and then buy it, but I recommend everyone to test it! You just have to experience it - the art of what is / can be possible.

Very briefly on the subject of OVP, bottle, sprayer:

I'll make it short, I give it a 10 out of 10 in every category and I know very well that tastes are very different. So if you honestly rate this with a 7 or less... - PUH. Beautiful and very valuable lid, beautiful timeless flacon design etc. .... so I find it very difficult to rate it differently and I'm not saying this because I like a brand or not!
Now a brief word on the subject of my opinion:

I am not sponsored, influenced by anyone, receive money or anything else. I approach the subject of parfumo as I am, honestly, everything else is not mine. My real personal opinion is worth a lot to me and maybe I hope ;) that you notice that. If I don't like something, e.g. OVP, bottle, sprayer or H/S, then I communicate this!

Madness - Scent
For those who like Oajan, Layton, Naxos and Side Effect, I can warmly recommend this fragrance. Beautiful creamy gourmand that can be worn almost always and everywhere. I must honestly admit that I love OAJAN, but this one..... puts another shovel on it! Absolutely recommendable!!

The art of seduction
For me, the 90s were the perfume era par excellence. A lot of new fragrances were developed, and the longevity of some fragrances and their intensity are still unrivaled today. For men's fragrances, Escada pour Homme Eau de Parfum was my personal No. 1

Smelling this fragrance evoked primal female instincts in me, made my pulse race and gave me fantasies of rumpled bed sheets. Even decades later, this fragrance still makes me shiver and purr with excitement. However, it is only available at astronomical prices, if at all, which makes the search for alternatives unavoidable.

After years of unsuccessful searching, I found a good but tamer alternative a few months ago in Amaryllis and now somewhat weaker, but more tobacco-heavy, in Triumph of Bacchus Eau de Parfum
Although Bacchus does not have the oomph of Escada, which could still be smelled on clothes a week later, it has a sexiness about it that is very rare for me to find in modern fragrances. Perhaps Triumph of Bacchus Extrait de Parfum can keep up with it, let's give it a try.

Boozy tobacco that opens with apple, peach, saffron and patchouli. The drydown is a sweet amber/vanilla and a creamy sandalwood. Alluring.

A softer version of Mancera Red Tobacco. Very similar so if you like RT but it's too strong for you then this one is a good option.

Initially boozy and spicy fruity-sweet, this warm and dusty, oriental spicy-earthy Fall fragrance, settles to a sweet musky-woody base.

Fruity note is too strong for me in this; giving me cherry cough syrup vibes. Might just be my skin, but definitely not for me.
