Red Tobacco but next level

As the title might imply, this is basically red tobacco but with added peach and apple on the top and blended to absolute perfection. This is what red tobacco would've liked to be. From a 10/10 bottle to the actually improved scent itself this one basically makes red tobacco irrelevant. It also doesn't have any hard screechy opening that red tobacco has so it can be enjoyed immediately. The rum is simply stunning as well. In my mind, a autumn/winter scent only.

Boozy and sweet

Go back in time to that era where kings and queens were the rulers, indulging in those banquets, where all the pleasures flow without limits. Food and alcohol flows like angry rivers, rum and ripe caramelized fruit are everywhere while the main courses with the richest and most silky saffron are served, meals that only royalty can afford. Smooth tobacco in bags and pipes fills the ambient air of the great hall with people who have satisfied their gluttony to have fun at a smoking session. Boozy, fruit and a sweet combination of mellow tobacco make this fragrance such a rich and indulgent scent.
The magic begins with a luxuriously rich blend of green apple, white peach, a hint of hot spices and wonderfully complex rum, like the aroma that rises from a glass of the finest calvados, complex and incredibly smooth nuances. As the magic evolves, sweet tobacco paired with amber, vanilla and coumarin-rich tonka add layers of complexity to that intoxicating drunkenness. Hence a journey that takes you to a sweeter territory that spills over on the gourmand with a hint of bitterness that is so perfectly comforting.
Triumph of Bacchus may seem simple from the notes, but the fragrance is much more than the sum of the two parts, it captures all those nuances you would expect from an aged rum and delivers them in perfect olfactory harmony, a little sinful, a little wicked and entirely luxurious.

Great first impression

So I wore this perfume twice now. It’s really nice and fresh in the beginning. The sour green apple really stands out.

That may last you only a couple of minutes though. After that it dries down and reveals its tobacco nature.

It’s kind of in the same ballpark as Carlisle from PdM and Red Tobacco from Mancera. But I think this one hits the sweetspot. It’s really wearable and still exposes that cool dry tobacco scent. That’s what it’ll be until it dies down and becomes indistinguishable.

Anyway, it’s got this great packaging and presentation for which I am a sucker to be honest, both in small bottle as in large bottle.

The Great Debate

I absolutely love Red Tobacco by Mancera, so I could not wait to get my hands on this to review. To confirm along with others, yes this is very similar to Red Tobacco. There is no argument there, but I debate that this is not the same fragrance. There are differences and personally, I prefer Triumph Of Bacchus. It is a more polished interpretation of this scent profile. What makes this more enjoyable for me is the boozy peach rum on top of the warm tobacco and amber. The vanilla is also much more prominent here. That's not a selling point, but it works extremely well with this composition. Before you pass judgement, do a side by side comparison. You may find that you prefer Red Tobacco and that's ok too. Both are amazing fragrances.

Boozy Gourmand

Very nice boozy gourmand frangrance. It reminds me of Mancera Red Tobacco but a lighter version. The rum is very well blended with the fruits what makes it a sweet boozy gourmand frangrance. Absolutely a stunning Fragrance I highly recommend.
