7 Summers - Pears at Bedtime
I purchased the DIME discovery set from my local Ulta on a whim in the summer, despite worrying I wouldn't like any of them or would find them too weak (I hadn't learned to properly appreciate eau de toilette's at that point; a few months made a difference). And while some definitely didn't meet my preferences or standards, 7 Summers was one I continued to come back to.
Initially, I did recognize it as being incredibly similar to Ariana Grande Cloud. The scent profile and listed notes are almost identical. However, here is where being an eau de toilette worked in 7 Summers's favor: I find Cloud to be entirely too sugary-sweet. Cloud isn't a bad fragrance, but it makes me feel like I need to brush my teeth after smelling it (or, because I'm diabetic, make sure I don't need some more insulin in my system, haha). 7 Summers, by comparison, is gentler, softer, and because it isn't so hyped-up on the sugary notes, I can actually appreciate the pear note and the lavender without the latter becoming too herbal.
I never did finish my sample before purchasing a bottle, but that's only because the atomizer of my sample jammed and I couldn't fix it. I've already made a noticeable dent in my bottle, however, despite only owning it for a little over 3 months, because 7 Summers quickly became one of my favorite bedtime and lazy day options this summer. During the day, even when heat and humidity were high, this fragrance did not become cloying or unwelcome. At night, it's soothing and helps my mind to relax, like nuzzling into freshly-laundered bedding. And, to its credit, this fragrance is what got me to begin exploring eau de toilettes more.
Again, if you like pear fragrances, mild fruity gourmands, or Ariana Grande Cloud (but wish it were lighter), you'd most likely enjoy 7 Summers.
