Perfect Winter Scent
On paper, this is the antithesis to scents I usually gravitate towards, which are fresh, feminine-leaning fruity-florals. I typically distance myself from gourmands as they're often too saccharine for my liking, but this brazenly deviates from that norm and surpasses all my expectations.
It opens up with a unique spicy warmth that quickly blossoms into something addictive. It's a little sharp at first, but over the course of a few minutes it mellows down into something more cozy, before eventually drying down into a toasty vanilla and rice concoction, with the faint spiciness from the opening remaining all throughout. It's well-balanced and sophisticated, never becoming too heavy or oppressive despite having all these strong notes. To me, this scent is evocative of a warm embrace, making it perfect to wear to bed at night (it feels like a treat to myself). As of now, I don't have any good winter scents, so I think I may full-size this, as I can see this being all I need when the temperatures get cooler.
