I bought the Timeless Legacy discovery set at the Elorea store on Spring St. last year, having liked all of the scents from that line when sniffing them in store. The first time I wore Jang, I 100% got the sensation of warm, dry clay/terracotta along with the sweet and salty fizz of fermentation. It causes my mouth to actually water! Different and full bottle worthy.

I picked up Jang after hearing about the soy sauce note, out of curiosity, and it immediately shot into my top three favorites in my collection. This is one of those scents that feels nearly impossible to describe! A lot of savory fragrances tend to go straight into corn chip territory for me, but Jang avoids that entirely. It is undeniably savory, yet it doesn’t smell like food, seasoning, or anything I can put my finger on. There’s a warmth and depth to it that feels incredibly comforting without being cozy in an obvious way. Honestly, this is a fragrance that really has to be experienced to be understood, because words don’t quite do justice to how unique and compelling it is!
