Yes !!! A summer fragrance like a clubbing night in the two thousand and ten. I already mentioned it in the statement - contradiction between natural and unnatural, punky kitsch or kitschy punk, hiking, gardening, harvest time - how nice to smell of such unusual discrepancies ^^. - Fits, fits, bang. Why some people here smell "winter" though, I have no idea... You cook cherry jam in summer XD. Overall, the fragrance is actually too "young" for me - that's not meant as age-bashing, but due to the fact that I used to - used to! - wore fruit fragrances for decades.
Anyway, I'm happy to return to these past preferences. Finally, to celebrate my age, I have two genuine old-lady perfumes. Yes, yes! For me, Melting Lust is the little sister of Infinity and, just like Infinity, serves the eternal "young man in me" instead. Hey hey. - Well, ok. - So, what does it smell like when the lust melts?
Not really lustful, actually: synthetic cherry, I say, with a certain herbal naturalness (instead of the other way around!).
I don't smell other notes before the DD. They just seem to secretly make sure that the cherry doesn't n e r v t. (Could that be?) Well, anyway, the DD is not particularly erotic either, rather - cozy. (Is that perhaps where the winter association comes from?) Reminiscent of the one from
Infinity, as I then discovered (my winter vacation travel purchase, so I haven't had it for long either). However, without really resembling it: As a quartz enthusiast, I compare it to holding a piece of pink quartz next to an amethyst crystal (pink quartz = the rare, transparent version of the opaque and common "rose quartz") and thinking: "Hm, hm. Yes: Extremely pretty." -
Rating: If the fragrance were less sweet overall, I would have given it a full ten. (Fortunately not sour. I can't seem to stand acidity in perfumes.) - It lasts forever and has an absolutely beautiful DD. Especially wonderful on clothes. - Whether others can smell me when I wear it, I don't know yet. (But, it seems so, at least I smell my scarf right now^^...) Couldn't resist putting it on again) (Anyway, I already think that my target group will love it XD XD I'll know tomorrow XD) - Shortcoming: Somehow, to my utmost regret, I rarely manage to like a perfume that comes in a nice bottle.
I mean, hey. In a really cool, beautiful, special or at least attractive bottle... After all, I already have one that looks like the contents have died, and this one - well. - Despite the nice magnetic lid, yeah no, more like this - mèh... Kumma: where the advertising was all about "boldly pushing the limits of gruesome kitsch", the bottle design didn't have a shred of "courage to be kitschy". Yes, yes. I would have much preferred something that was also visually reminiscent of techno and the two-thousandths, or at least something a bit f a r b i g h t .... XD
