Dark Noir Pop
At the beginning of September, I was in Berlin and visiting the Voo Store is a must for me. Because where better to get inspired than there?! At some point, I noticed these beautifully simply designed bottles from Ephemeral Dyadic, because I wouldn’t buy anything that is overly ornate, no matter how good the scent is. Also, what a cool name, and I rarely come across an Instagram account that has such cool product photos and is as styled as Ephemeral Dyadic. The product packaging is a white cardboard box with black paint running down it, and the brand name is embossed. Well, when a fragrance is called "Dark Dreams," my expectations are high. I sprayed it on right away and BAAAAMMMM. It’s as if dark noir pop aka Cigarettes after Sex has been soaked in scent. Wonderfully flattering and masculine, it perfectly embodies the longing for physical closeness and intimacy. Captured in a bottle is the dreamy West Coast sunset romance à la Lana del Rey. Not an oriental and not a gourmand. Floral, citrusy warmth, somehow fresh and also powdery, and then there’s this creaky gasoline note that you wouldn’t recognize if you didn’t know what it was. I’ve had many fragrances in my life and I wear a lot of perfume, but I’ve never been approached about a scent before. Since I started wearing Dark Dreams, I get approached almost every time, asking what an incredibly good and different fragrance it is. Longevity is, as stated, above average. You definitely don’t need more than two sprays; one is enough, and even the next day the dry down is very noticeable. I am absolutely happy to have stumbled upon such an exceptional fragrance. Thank you for your attention. Keep going.
