Past Summers
This is a prototype for Folkwinds' upcoming release, The Wonderland II. Only 10 bottles were released, some with different labels. I don't understand why this isn't the final version because it is an amazing summer scent and already a go-to in my collection; I've had it for just four days and worn it three times already.
With the first spray, you get a delightful blend of Rainer Cherry and Peach, creating a sweet yet tart opening. Musk sits in the background, smoothing the transition to the dry down. The dry down is kind of hard to distinguish for me, but it is very mossy and musk-heavy. There's a subtle peach note in the background, smoothing the scent (I also get some Iris, but it's very short-lived).
Now, for the story: Camp Summerland in my mind represents past summers from when I was a kid. Hurdling juicy peaches and other fruits into my face, that my mom had just gotten from the farmers market with my grandma. Then, rushing out into the Forest near my grandparents' house to play with my cousins and my sister until dusk, the juice from the fruits still dripped on my hands, now mixing with the moss and bark from the woods.
In all, Camp Summerland reminds me of simpler times, times I would do anything to go back to, but I can't. So now I sit here writing this, reminiscing on Past Summers.
Thanks for reading !
