Incredible, absolutely incredible perfumery going on here, This opens with a blend of extremely well balanced spices however it is careful and never shouts too loud to the point of it being overwhelming. Autumnal, spicy and sweet although the sweetness lies in a soft base, distinguishing itself from other basic sweet spicy perfumes.
This is a very complex perfume - almost mouth watering, its not a gourmand by any means its just so great that it feels like pure comfort and peace in the colder days. Its super clear, as clear and refreshing as a breath of fresh air in a cold morning. Apple pie that avoids being in your face (I absolutely detest sweet gourmand over saturated perfumes) and this is no where near this.
For sure one of the best folkwinds ive tried so far, I thought from the notes it may be too heavy, thick and potentially cloying however every element of this perfume balances it out so its not too much yet doesn't disappoint. Freshly chopped wood, spicy yet mellow Christmas, delicious yet not too sweet.
