Smooth as butter // deeply sensual
This perfume is an absolute gem, one which I can't stop wearing. It opens for me with fuzzy warm peach skin and a hint of boozy plum, musky narcissus, and this deep, creamy, waxy smooth Orris that combines with, I think, black walnut and makes the whole thing so addictive. I can't stop myself from inhaling over and over because I can almost feel the richness, like warm marble that somehow yields and melts to your body heat, enveloping you. As it dries down the sandalwood and musk really kick into high gear and stay omnipresent for HOURS.nLongevity on this is wild and the sillage is perfect for the type of perfume, it doesn't necessarily fill a room but if you let someone close, they're not going to want to pull away.nThis is a small batch and I think the fact that my urge to savor it has been overridden by my urge to wear and smell this ALL THE TIME is a testament to just how good this perfume is.nn**I can't forget to mention just how much I enjoy the Folkwinds presentation. The bandanna, the bottles with nice heavy caps and quality atomizers and those wood cork patches.... Folkwinds does it all.
