Sweet tooth for Iris lovers
The initial few seconds feel dense with dough-like, chewy orris root sinking the lighter elements. The iris here is vegetal/carroty (similar in shape to HEELEY Iris de Nuit).

But that thickness lessens as the composition plays on, the lighter violet leaf and violet peeking out moments later. The iris at this point becomes more shy. Restrained. Slightly more powdery.

There seems to be a small addition of Ambroxan? Something familiar with this too. (Like Iris Malikhân if the Ambroxan was dialed wayyyy back?). But where IM brutalizes my nose with it, it’s tempered here.

As the fragrances winds around, another facet emerges…the cake-sweet tonka and vanilla, light and fluffy. At this point, the sweetness pushes forward and the other aspects recede and the glorious iris mostly hides…popping out briefly here and there should the breeze allow.

I do enjoy the perfume recognize its similarity (taken as a whole) to Iris Ganache. I have a lot of Iris perfumes but none play this sweet sweet chord.

Enchanted sleep
In the first 15 seconds there is something grassy in it that has a weird mint ice cream lean to it, that's the best I can describe it. It mellows out really fast though (thank god). The violet leaf turns it at times towards the aquatic (in the sense that violet leaf sometimes makes things "watery" to my nose).

In the middle stage it basically disappears on me unless I huff my wrist, so I'm left dreaming of the fragrance I was hoping for, having been jolted from my initial excitement by that strange opening so different from what I was expecting.

Then in the dry down the scent returns as this dry, light, powder (=the iris) with some hints of non-sweet and non cosmetic violet. It's still somewhat grassy/earthy but not sharp anymore. It turns fully ozonic. I'm surprised not more people think of this perfume as "green". It begins to warm up as well in the dry down. It's to sum up a warm powdery scent with some green earthiness to it.

It's like falling into an enchanted sleep in some late summer meadow, all the flowers are done blooming for the year but the grass is damp and the evening is cooling. I can't see this as a winter perfume. It's best I think on cool late summer days, warm autumn days, and spring.
I like it and the dry down is super beautiful. Would love to smell this on other people.

Dreamy
I adore this scent, an absolute beauty. Opens slightly green and carroty, dries down to a doughy (chewy?) orris, a little hazelnuttiness, powdery violet, tonka. Much later in the wear it goes surprisingly cakey sweet, cloud-like and fluffy, it’s an iris with hidden gourmand facets. Really gorgeous, very ethereal and dreamy, which makes sense, Morpheus being the Greek god of dreams and allathat. Reminds me of Iris Malikhan by Maison Crivelli quite a bit, which is one of my top 10 scents for life; if you enjoy the treatment of orris in that one as much as I do then I think you’d appreciate it here too. I couldn’t resist the notes on this one so I blind bought a 15ml (which is very reasonably priced by Hellenist), can definitely see a bigger bottle in my future.

Accidental Kerosene
In the bottle, it smells delightful. Like a vanilla, hazelnut, and sweet pastry fantasy.

When sprayed: KEROSENE.

If I don't sniff closely, the ghostly vapors of hazelnut are still there. But even after a 4-hour dry down, I mostly still get a very intense bitterness and unpleasant oily sensation that makes my head hurt.

I tried layering Milk over it, but that hard angry bitterness is still too strong.

My skin chemistry does weird things to perfume, so it probably smells incredible on a different lucky person. It's a bummer that it was so bad on me.

A perfect unisex Iris
Hey hey hey! Really interesting view in the paradise of the Iris’s family. Deep butter of iris well mixed with the violet leafe, it’s not powdery but is absolutely “clean” and airy maybe cashmeran.
Not sweet or too soft a beautiful signature of Vetiver at the end close the composition in a real “unisex” fragrance.
Honestly I don’t perceive vibes of Iris Malikah maybe it’s more close with Irisss of Xerjoff but in another direction!

Duration is optimal and even the sillage

Unreal dry down. This is one of those scents, that a perfume lover must get their nose on. This scent simply melts into your skin.

Cements Le Helley as one of the most talented up-and-coming perfumers. Nutty orris, icy violets, and a deep tonka finish. Brilliant work.

Begins as gorgeous iris. Unisex. Dries down warm vanilla. Poor performance (2-3 hrs light projection), as with seemingly all iris scents.

A beautifully crafted iris fragrance that takes you on an olfactory journey. If you like soft, powdery, dreamy perfumes this is for you.

I’m picking up the powdery quality of the violet/orris root/heliotrope. The peach/tonka/vanilla adds the sweet. Violet stands out.

Beautiful blend of powdery orris, heliotrope, and violet with sweet fruits and woods. Earthy start, brilliant to finish. A rare orris I love. 9/10

Started with baby powder, heading towards an earthy vetiver. I wasn't sure if I liked where this one is was going, but now it's fine.
