Skinny dipping with Aphrodite

Skinny dipping with Aphrodite in a spring fed pool of herbs and flowers.

Aquatic by way of a crystal clean mineral spring. Gorgeous and elevated perfumery. Performance is pretty decent with 3 to 4 hours of good wear and a skin scent for 6. This lives somewhere between a Jacques Cavallier Belletrud LV and something from Hermes Un Jardin in style. Very French, very smooth. As much as I love Hermes Un Jardin En Mediterranee, I would rather wear les dieux au Bains because it has this lovely sensual human quality and it performs better on my skin.

Thermal spring surrounded by flowers

Immediately after the first spray, I smell aquatic notes with a tangy hint of lemon. The latter evaporates quickly, but the freshness remains throughout. Without looking at the fragrance pyramid, I would not have directly associated eucalyptus with this green freshness. No cold balm, rather a slightly synthetic candy for fragrant breath.
For me, the juniper - not alcoholic gin-like, but green - and the legendary water flowers are at the heart of the fragrance. I have only ever seen water lilies and other water flowers from the dry shore, I refer to the idea of a scent that is fulfilled here. The note reminds me a little of the equally ominous sea fennel from Phtaloblue, even if the perfume is otherwise a completely different (much more synthetic) story.
After a good 20 minutes, the fragrance loses a little of its freshness and caresses the skin in an increasingly velvety way. Despite its thoroughly aquatic character, les dieux aus bains has a pleasant warmth, like a flower-filled thermal spring in which the gods revel.

Green freshness to go

This fragrance really surprised me.

The top notes harmonize wonderfully and remind me exactly of the image I got when I read the title "les dieux aux bains", translated "the gods in the baths".
The freshness of a warm spa bath unfolds on the skin and becomes a little more complex over time with rosemary and water flowers, but overall stays on its line of freshness without a spectacular progression.

I was allowed to wear it today at a pleasant 26 degrees and what can I say, it is simply made for this. A touch of wellness accompanies you on the streets. A wonderful feeling that you keep to yourself as far as possible, because the sillage is rather average - but that's okay for a summer fragrance. Even after my trip, I can still feel the fragrance and estimate that it lasts around 4-5 hours (on the skin).

I also really like the bottle with the beautiful glass base and the motif. The only thing I would like to see is a more solid cap.

Overall, a great fragrance that has piqued my interest in the entire brand.
