Woodsy floral unisex scent
I first got this as a body wash sample. Its projection is great and lasts quite a while. As a body mist, I find myself wishing the scent were stronger and lasted longer. However, for the price, size, and the fragrance, it's a deal.
The notes are leather, wood, and black rose, but the rose isn't too floral, and is nicely offset by the mahogany. It dries down to a lightly sweet, almost fig-like smell. The fragrance is elegant, refreshing, clean (almost crisp for an oud), unisex, and smells like being at a higher end spa. It's never too much.
Some people have compared it to Le Labo's Thé Noir 29. They are similar, but I find Thé Noir 29 more feminine. It also didn't work with my body chemistry. But Black Rose and Oud sits well atop my skin. A wonderful purchase for a day at the office.
