Review - Brazilian Tobacco

This is a great perfume for all occasions. It has a top of bergamot, and pepper. Also, lavender really stands out in this fragrance. In the heart is Brazilian tobacco with slight cherry and a touch of Oud. Cedarwood also features prominently. The basenotes consist of patchouli, leather and vetiver.

The Fresh Tobacco

Since there is no review for this fragrance yet and it is part of my collection, I feel (subtly) obliged to share my opinion here.

How I came to this fragrance:
During my vacation in Alexandria, I stumbled upon the Ibraheem Al Qurashi store in the San Stefano Mall by chance. I thought, why not take a look? So I did. I tested the Tobacco Collection - unfortunately, there were no testers, just small vials for sampling. Since I prefer darker, sweeter fragrances and already own several gourmands, I wanted something fresher this time. In the end, only Brazilian Tobacco was suitable for me.

The fragrance:
Right after spraying, the bergamot comes through beautifully - and the best part: it doesn’t disappear immediately but remains present for quite a while. After about 20 minutes, the actual main note sets in: a bright, relaxed, slightly citrusy tobacco scent (I can’t describe it any other way) with a subtle oud note in the background that you don’t even notice at first. This is definitely not a classic, heavy tobacco like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, but rather something for people who can also appreciate fresh and citrusy scents.

For me, Brazilian Tobacco is the perfect companion on autumn and winter days, but I can easily imagine it working in spring as well. A true all-rounder. I would classify it as more masculine overall, as the tobacco note is quite prominent.

Longevity & Sillage:
The longevity is moderate - not a 24-hour monster, but with 5-6 sprays, it easily lasts throughout the day without needing a touch-up.
The sillage is not overly strong, but just right. This is not a fragrance that fills entire rooms - it is more designed to be perceived up close. And that’s exactly what makes it so pleasant to wear.

Conclusion:
A top fragrance for anyone looking for a fresh but not boring all-rounder who can warm up to a citrusy tobacco note. Those who prefer huge sillage and extreme sweetness might not find what they’re looking for here - but for everyone else, this could be a real hidden gem!
