The Undiscovered Gem: Better Than Imagination?

Seriously, folks, this fragrance is a revelation. I'm hesitant to even share it because it's that good. It might be the best "Imagination" alternative out there—scratch that, it surpasses it. I'm already planning my backup bottle purchase.
Don't let the initial citrus burst fool you. It's bright and energetic, but the real magic happens as it develops. The performance is insane—projection is beast mode, leaving a noticeable and captivating trail. Prepare for compliments (and maybe a few puzzled looks). Trust me on this one.

Arabic fragrance on the French way

If you love the fresh summer scents ... This fragrance will be a suitable choice for you.
This fragrance is very similar to L'Homme Ideal Cologne Guerlain and I do not see it in any way similar to Imagination Louis Vuitton and tends to the masculine side of being a women's fragrance.

Notes:
- Top notes: red orange, green apple, mandarin
- Heart notes: French Tobacco, Orange Blossom, Cinnamon, Ginger
- Base notes: guaiac wood, lemon, olibanum, iris flower
- The tobacco is not noticeable at all in the fragrance, The word tobacco has been appended to the name only for commercial advertising, nothing more or less.

Scent:  French Tobacco combines citrus notes and antique French tobacco, intertwined with warm woody notes that captivate the senses. The fragrant scent of iris flows between these notes like a fresh breeze with elegance and distinction. Embodying French luxury and elegance, it captivates hearts and carries the soul on a magical journey from vintage elegance to stunning modernity.

The performance is above average in many stages, noting that it is a summer fragrance:

The ultimate soapy fragrance

The opening is quite sharp with alot of ginger and citrus let it cool down for a bit and you get the ultimate green soap scent it’s honestly very pleasant you’ll smell like you just got out of the shower, it lasts as long as fresh fragrance can last like a good 10-12 hours with really good projection, the versatility is also to the max because who would mind smelling like a green soap the whole year in every occasion.

Time Stands Still

There are rarely fragrances that give you a sense of timelessness. Some creations simply have no expiration date.

A composition that has absolutely no rough edges. It is completely unisex, impossible to criticize, not necessarily loved by everyone but absolutely hated by no one. This is exactly what French Tobacco conveys. It has a bit of a 1 Million vibe, the DNA is not the reinvention of the wheel but easy to like.

To get to the fragrance itself and not write a long-winded novel … The first minute starts with a biting note reminiscent of neroli. It is not particularly pleasant and has a somewhat cleaner-like quality to it. The first phase is clean, slightly fruity but not fresh. In the later development, after about 20 minutes, the character becomes woody/fruity with tobacco. Each individual ingredient has been skillfully employed. That part is ultimately how it remains.

I would actually recommend the fragrance to anyone blind, whether young or old, simply versatile. Suitable for any occasion and wearable everywhere.

The packaging, the price, the bottle, and the spray head are top-notch for the price. It is really hard to beat.

Whether it resembles "Imagination" or is a dupe, I cannot answer as I have never tested that fragrance. For the little money, you get a very, very good product.

French Tobacco - Solid Drydown, but Overpriced

After having tried Art of Arabia 1, Aqua Dubai, and Zara Sunrise, I was curious about French Tobacco. The drydown, in particular, has often been compared to Imagination - a comparison I can certainly understand after extensive testing.

The fragrance starts off less citrusy than the other mentioned scents and instead relies on a subtle tobacco note. This can be polarizing - for me personally, it feels somewhat out of place and disrupts the harmony of the fragrance composition. While Art of Arabia 1 has the best opening for me, French Tobacco unfolds over time into a pleasantly soft and familiar direction that indeed strongly resembles the original.

The longevity is moderate, the sillage is well noticeable in the first hour, after which the scent develops into a close-to-skin experience. All in all, it is a successful clone that particularly shows its strengths in the drydown. However, the price of over €100, due to limited availability, is not justified in my view - realistically, I would place it more in the price range of €30 to €35.
