Walk like an egyptian...
... there was a song by the "Bangles", an English pop band, back in the 1980s.
But the fragrance does not play on a swaying ship where passengers move "like Egyptians", but directly in Egypt, where real Egyptians move like Egyptian dancers! Arms raised with bent hands at chest height, heads moving forward, backward, left, and right in slightly jerky motions... swaying at the hips... arms "praying" in front of the chest... and so on!
Yes, this "Luxor" is indeed somewhat mysterious! It has a strong spicy "core", around which roses, citrus fruits, woods, and a hint of musk are arranged. The spiciness gives the impression that fresh pepper, cloves, cardamom, coriander, and other spices are laid out for sale at a bazaar. The dark roses serve as fragrant embellishments, while the woods and slightly earthy patchouli provide a rich, grounding base, with juicy, slightly sweet-sour citrus fruits floating above. Bright, cool bergamot and aromatic mandarin.
A fragrance like I have never smelled before. It is not the name "Luxor" that makes the scent "Egyptian", but the way the fragrance notes interact with my senses and nose. Once again, this was a successful, wonderful "blind swap". Truly GOOD!! ;-))
