Reviewers: Are we wearing the same perfume? Unwearable for me
With the reviews, ratings and praise so far, I seriously wonder if we're wearing the same perfume or if the fragrance house has managed to formulate it to death in the last 2 years.
The Blue Diamond starts with a pungent sweet-powdery florality that is (/can be) spacey and headache-inducing.
Over the entire(!) course of the fragrance, I cannot perceive any citrus or similar. For me, the first 30 minutes are de facto exclusively jasmine and rose. There is a hint of mandarin in the far background, but the above two ingredients dominate.
Due to the synthetics that somehow resonate, I have the feeling that I'm wearing a jasmine-rose car fragrance tree on my body. Very bad.
Sillage is room-absorbing, but then wears off again quickly. The longevity is convincing! At least until I deliberately washed it off after 4.5 hours, it was still clearly perceptible.
The drydown is rather boring: jasmine and rose gradually become weaker and sweet, light wood joins in. Before the shower, you could still increasingly recognize vanilla.
----
I seriously wonder whether the Godel perfumery didn't pack me the blue diamond, despite the original sample and packaging. I sincerely hope that it was simply bottled incorrectly at the factory but labeled correctly.
Otherwise, you should seriously question whether the reviews here are genuine.
I would be happy to send the rest of the sample to someone to see for themselves in exchange for the postage.
I have not found any:
- Patchouli
- any oud
- Moss
- (more perceptible) citrus
smelled.
Unfortunately, the fragrance was a complete flop for me. Sorry - "pass"
