A nice coconut scent with salt in the opening
Cocobay is a fundamentally beautiful fragrance that develops even better over time and becomes a little more rounded. Especially at the beginning, it has something unique and special about it, which I don't even find bad, but despite this, it already seems relatively synthetic and unrounded.
I think that some people might even totally celebrate this phase due to the noticeable salty note, but others will probably not like it at all.
As already mentioned, the fragrance starts with a noticeably salty character. Then we have the coconut note. Coconut milk is listed in the top note and I think you can accept that, although you can basically say that it's just coconut and that's it.
This combination of coconut and salt with this noticeable synthetic is simply quite special and not for everyone. But somehow it has something.
After about 1.5 - 2 hours, this salty character on my skin virtually disappears.
A coconut note remains, but it is no longer quite as sweet. It has a hint of white coconut flesh.
In addition, a different and subtle sweetish character comes into play. There is some caramel and, above all, a hint of cocoa, as well as some vanilla and sandalwood.
After about 4 hours, the coconut note has become even more subtle, but is still there. The sandalwood has spread more, as well as the vanilla, amber and a hint of tonka bean.
The performance is perfectly fine. The fragrance fades after about 7-8 hours. But tends to last more like 8 hours. It is then very close to the skin, but still there.
I found the projection to be good for the first 30-60 minutes. But then became noticeably weaker.
The fragrance is also wonderfully unisex.
