The World of the Black Rose
For some time now, I have been very interested in Arabic perfume houses, and this La Fede series belongs to Khadlaj, which has recently released some truly brilliant new fragrances for around 20 euros! I have stocked up well on the entire series before a possible hype arises again.
It starts with the packaging and the bottle; both are of really high quality! The heavy bottle feels luxurious and has a good sprayer that should be used with care. The flip-open packaging is also made very well. I often wonder how they can offer such quality at such low prices.
In Arabic fragrances, I have discovered that I, as a man, tend to prefer the more feminine scents, as they are often softer than many of the masculine ones. The use of oud, agarwood, or similar notes in masculine fragrances often comes across as too animalistic and dominant for my taste. Additionally, I really like roses and flowers in general, which are often associated more with women's fragrances.
All of this is beautifully combined here, so that nothing stands out or disturbs; everything harmonizes nicely together in a mystical black world. This world is dark, yet very beautiful. Here, thick blackcurrants grow, as well as white jasmine, and the scent of wood and incense pleasantly lingers in the sweet air. This is a fragrance for a black princess with a few magnificent white daffodils in her hair and a bouquet of black roses in her hand. A somewhat morbid atmosphere, but that’s what makes it special.
It can also be worn well as a black prince, and the longevity and sillage are good!
