Orange Lemon Bomb with Soapy Finish
Since I often find myself in Milan, I inevitably passed by the WOMO store: "W-hat O-riginal M-ens O-wn" is how it is pronounced. This is a shop just for men, with shaving gear, fashion, and barber-shop hipsters waiting to twist and grow what the razor can offer.
However, since I already had my three-day beard well taken care of by my barber in Berlin with Turkish roots, I didn’t need or want to use the services of the Italian gentlemen. I was much more interested in the fragrances set up in the middle of the room. Of course, they tried to highlight the Oud and the Spice or the Tobacco and generally the black line. I was even more surprised by the prices; they charge 50 euros for the EDP and 35 for the EDT from the 100ml bottles - which I found, and still find, a very fair offer. The only salesperson there wrinkled her nose a bit when I ended up lingering over the COIBA. "Yooaaahhh it's very fresh, but smell this and that..." was all she had to say about it.
In the store, I was of course bombarded with the orange, but it was so juicy that I rarely smelled anything like it. Then there was the Neroli in the under and background, giving it a Mediterranean touch. Later, only after a return flight and another weekend in Milan, did I buy the fragrance. Now, upon using it, I notice that the lemon immediately takes over from the orange, yes, it overshadows it and together with a brilliant musky soap lays a wonderful refreshing foundation; perhaps it’s also the listed Cachaca here, which I have only drunk and never smelled. Yes, now I also understand the island association, although for me the beginning feels particularly Mediterranean due to the Neroli and the lemon - for me, the scent will probably always remain Limone Sul Garda with 30 degrees and a sky blue to weep for! I don’t find mint listed in the white finish, although it feels that way to me; perhaps it’s the juniper. Radiantly white like the bed linen in the sun, the scent ends after rather skin-close 6-7 hours. The fresh feeling really lasts a long time; the juicy lemon stays on my skin for about 40 minutes to an hour - the orange only visits for the first 5-10 minutes, sweet and juicy, very natural - just begging to be bitten into! Because you can’t overdo it with the white soapy base, even if you tried, I’m already looking forward to the orange kick - with TZ, I’d gladly have it multiple times a day - if, yes if, summer finally arrives. At that price, it should still be affordable. So for me, this fragrance can welcome the height of summer... Otherwise, I also find the bottle with the wooden cap and the milk glass quite successful... and I believe that even some perfume aficionados could find something to appreciate in this scent; I find it more than justifiable that it is listed as unisex - I also believe that the hipster barbers there will not turn anyone away from their Italian male paradise.
