The casket
What might the perfume called Vienna Chocolate Patchouli smell like? I will try to describe it to you! Imagine you find a small, old wooden box in a very, very old attic. It has been lovingly and carefully wrapped with black silk ribbon bows. Let it be a hundred years old or maybe even older. Carefully you open it. A very childlike smell comes out of it. You can smell the old wood with its woody almost earthy patchouli aroma. The box is filled with old collectible pictures. Antique angels and putti are the motives. It smells gently of parchment while you hold them in your hands. They are already faded and dull from time. You take them carefully aside and find again a little hint who the box might have belonged to. Wrapped in old tissue paper lies a blond strand of hair. It is bound with a pink satin ribbon. Gently and carefully you take the delicate curl in your hand and sniff it tenderly. The scent of dusty iris powder rises angelically into your nose. It smells powdery-fine and somehow old. Just like an old, flowery-sweet body powder. Or maybe also baby powder? But there is something else you can smell. The satin ribbon has a smell too. It smells like raspberries or rather raspberry-flavored candy. A bit like candy. But also like very old candy. Carefully put the delicate curl of the ribbon to the pictures with the little angels and look what is lying at the bottom of the box.

At the bottom is a bar of chocolate. It is wrapped in an antique wrapping. The writing on it is no longer up to date. You can hardly read and decipher it. Carefully you remove the woody paper of the chocolate bar. It has apparently been opened before. Even the chocolate still smells. The dusty, bitter and bitter smell of dark cocoa rises into your nose. It still smells almost fresh as if it was not even that old, which it is. She has already turned white and looks like finely powdered. There is a piece missing. But it was not broken off, but bitten out. You can still see the teeth. But they are small teeth. Milk teeth! It must have been a child that bit off And while you're chasing your thoughts, something falls to the ground. It's the yellowed, smoky, black-and-white photo of a little girl. She looks like she's fast asleep
Conclusion
Vienna Chocolate Patchouli smells old. It smells antique and not from that time. It smells of dusty dark cocoa and flowery iris powder. Woody-dry patchouli. Of old paper and fruity sweets. It has a delicate, childlike aroma that resonates, comparable to giving a little child a kiss on the head. A delicate caramel-powdery undertone. It seems childishly dreamy but also a bit melancholically serious. It's not really a gourmand, it's too flowery and woody and the patchouli gives it a very serious chord. Vienna Chocolate Patchouli doesn't necessarily smell like a conventional perfume to me. It's more like a very old, beautiful memory, which is, however, full of sadness and which you don't want to miss. I rarely smelled a new perfume that took me back in time as far as Vienna Chocolate Patchouli. A remarkable journey through time!

I cannot wish health, strength, confidence and hope to everyone here. But at least to those who are reading this. I send to all here a song what I hear at least the last days and which touches me very much. It is for everyone here, but first and foremost for our Italian neighbours and friends who have been hit particularly hard. It says: Era Già Tutto Previsto/All was already planned! I momenti dell'amore/ The moments of love by Riccardo Cocciante. Be good to each other and take care of yourselves!
