A Phantom in Foggy Murk...
... well, it doesn't get much more obscure than this. According to our database, Angkor has only launched this one fragrance, and otherwise, there is simply NOTHING to find out about the manufacturer or the scent, even with the most intensive research. "Mariguana" came up during one of my internet searches for rare and old Italians/Spaniards. The name and bottle suggested a scent that I might like, the price was right, so I ordered it...
BULLSEYE! Right from the start, it hits the nose in a vintage way, and without restraint. I could have ticked off just about everything except for "synthetic" and "citrusy" in my classification. I limited myself to seven or eight, but there could have been more.
What can the scent do? Well, it can excite me. Leather-woody-spicy-animalic, but also fruity and a bit sweet, and if you ask me, even gourmand. It leans towards similarly structured powerhouses like Agnoni Uomo, without carrying its bizarre intensity. This does not mean that Mariguana is subtle, but you do have to reapply more often if it is to last long enough when going out (for which it is excellently suited).
Truly classic, and probably no longer communicable to "younger" noses, this exotic is highly recommended to lovers of natural and complex fragrances.
