It’s her, just her - because she is enough

AURA… oh, AURA….
will always be something special for me.

I wore Aura for the first time shortly after its release.
At the end of 2017, I had a date for a movie night. It was a damp and chilly evening, we had a little time left and hopped into the small perfumery around the corner.
What possessed me to spray such a scent, unknown to me, before a movie night, I cannot say for the life of me… it just wanted to be with me :).
And then we went to the cinema, my child (20) and I had a delightful, moving, tumultuous, exciting, and ultimately satisfying evening, during which we laughed, cried, gasped, held hands, held our breath, cheered, struggled and fought, learned and watched - and all the while, Aura crept into my nose, with its green, clear, self-assured notes,
not seeking to please, with a quirky presence and backbone!
A backbone with clarity and heart, and without harshness. Yes, it radiates for me authenticity, presence, and sensitivity and is devoid of any coquetry. I appreciate that very much.

I will probably associate the scent for the rest of my life with this special evening, as well as with the protagonist of the film and her abilities:

to do what needs to be done
to live and integrate one’s own story
to mourn without dissolving into self-pity or hardening
to see, to understand, and to remain touchable
to be oneself without great fuss and staging - and to let others be as they are
And in all of this, to be aware of the connectedness of all beings…

Especially when I wear AURA, it becomes clear to me that I wear scents for MYSELF; that my essential impulse is to emphasize, strengthen, or protect certain facets of myself… In other words, the intention to achieve a specific effect on others with a scent is foreign to me.
Neither with my scents nor with my clothing do I rack my brain over what others think and wear what I feel like; simply because I feel like it.
And since AURA, in my opinion, shows no obvious “pleasing” qualities, this becomes particularly clear to me with this scent.

Even without going into detail about the scent notes or describing their development - which others have already done here with expertise :) - I hope to convey to you an impression of the emotions and attitudes that this scent is capable of transporting, in my view.

And if necessary, I would also be willing to reveal the title of the impressive film in a personal conversation :).

PS:
Whoever guesses the title of the film first will receive a nice little fragrance package as a gift! (by the way: "I treat myself to this fun!")

PPS:
There is a scene in the film where the protagonist looks in the mirror... and here the title of this comment is vividly expressed... (but no more tips!)

Resolution:
It's "The Last Jedi" & Rey, so the winner is Helena1411.
Thanks for playing along, dear ones - a fun little gimmick in the comments :)))

I also think you should dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable, and the same goes for fragrance. I don’t understand people who wear scents to please others or to make a good impression.

I may not know which movie it was, but one thing I know for sure: I wear a fragrance and clothes for myself, not for others. I feel the same way as you! I really enjoyed reading this!

Beautiful and captivating comment that shows how much we connect experiences with olfactory impressions. When it comes to the movie, I almost felt tempted to mention Star Wars 8 - The Last Jedi when thinking of the main character. But I'm not sure about that; what I do know for sure is that I like your comment! :-)

Stories like yours captivate me. The scent is a constant in our lives, the roles are meant for us.
Warmest regards, Stefanie

Here's another tip:
Mainstream with a feminist twist (no, NOT Wonder Woman, yawn); creative, great characters, awesome script, a LOT of fun (totally different from all the other films in the series...)

The connection between the scent and the movie experience seems to be forever etched in your memory. I have a similar experience with some perfumes.
I can't figure out which movie it could be.

Really enjoyed reading this - and I like the scent too. Is Liz Taylor in the movie?

Very nice, personal comment. Unfortunately, I have to pass on the movie. I don't go to the cinema that often.
