My, wia schee is des

Recently I discovered Beauty Affair in the small but fine Düsseldorf perfumery, only a flacon lid throw away from the famous Königsallee, a perfume brand from Dubai with highly attractive flacons that was completely unknown to me until then and is exclusively distributed there.

But not only the bottles are a feast for the eyes, but also the luxurious boxes in which the fragrances are packaged. But the decisive factor is the olfactory content - and it can be sniffed.

All EdPs are produced without alcohol and according to strict natural and ethical guidelines. It's a laudable approach, but now you want to know what the compositions can do.

First of all I took the Compassionate Sandal, according to the translation the "Merciful Sandalwood".
The ingredient that gives the product its name does not even stand in the foreground. What you first notice is a good dose of jasmine, very natural and not so feminine. In between, slightly refreshing exotic-fruity notes of passion fruit with a slight hint of saffron. But what ultimately becomes more popular is jasmine.

Only gradually do the contents carefully mix with a "My" patchouli and the expected sandalwood, including other light wood notes.
In the drydown you think you can sniff a few dashes of passion fruit again, possibly with a hint of vetiver.

I am positively surprised, although the sandalwood is sinking a bit and the EdP doesn't come across as fuzzy as you might think. The characteristics here are noble, discreet and refined interplay.

Little by little I will deal with the other creations more intensively, which seem absolutely promising to me and make me curious. The only thing that could be a bit irritating is the My logo, which reminds me of the M of the Magnum ice cream, which definitely doesn't have to be a minus.

Apart from that, everyone is welcome to go on a discovery tour of their own. And I am sure that in this small perfumery - where every perfume that has ever been there can testify to the excellent service - one is happy to help. "Mei or My wia schee is des" is what the Bavarian would say.
