Is the fruit still good?
Yes, it is!
I had decided to look for a fruity oud fragrance that smelled as natural as possible. As fruity oud fragrances are kind of the thing at the moment, I had several to choose from. In my opinion, however, most of them are either extremely sweet, so that the oud is imperceptible, or so strong that I get strong cowshed vibes.
But not the Cerana.
Right at the start, you get a strong mango refined with a sweet, bright lychee. The whole thing goes in a tart direction thanks to the blackcurrant. At the same time, you immediately notice a naturally fragrant oud that accompanies the fruit. You are still far enough away from the cowshed, so to speak, but definitely already in the countryside. Here, however, it is combined so well that it does not become too much. In the drydown, the fragrance develops more woody, almost smoky, whereby the mango is clearly perceptible from start to finish.
For me personally, Cerana is brilliantly realized. It blends beautifully with the skin and stays with you all day. The fragrance has a good sillage that is never overwhelming. Thanks to its fruitiness, I can wear Cerana at any time of year and the oud provides enough depth to make it a good choice both during the day and in the evening.
The price-performance ratio is really top here and the packaging and bottle are also very high quality.
However, I wouldn't recommend this fragrance to anyone who doesn't like oud at all and I wouldn't buy it blindly.
So this was my first step in the somewhat challenging oud direction and I am really very positively surprised.
